The Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that on the afternoon of June 12, after finishing the final exam of the 10th grade entrance exam for specialized high schools and high schools with specialized classes for the 2023-2024 school year in Hanoi, the department worked with the exam question-making council to review the question-making process and related tasks.

According to the report of the exam council, in the specialized physics exam, in question IV, due to negligence in the drafting stage, the score of 3.0 was mistakenly recorded as 2.5 points. This caused the total score of all questions in the exam to be only 9.5 points, not 10 points.
Specifically: question I is 1.5 points, question II is 2.0 points, question III is 2.5 points, question IV is 2.5 points, question V is 1.0 point.
After review, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced a correction: the score scale for each question of the physics exam is specifically: question I is 1.5 points; question II is 2.0 points; question III is 2.5 points; question IV is 3.0 points and question V is 1.0 point. The total score for the entire test is 10 points.
The exam board also confirmed that the marking instructions for question IV still guarantee 3.0 points.
This afternoon, June 12, candidates taking the entrance exam for specialized physics classes at specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training took the physics exam with a duration of 150 minutes.
It is expected that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the answers and specific scores of all subjects in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year on June 14.
