On the afternoon of September 1, Ben Cau Commune Police ( Tay Ninh Province) said that a young man was moved to write a letter thanking the police officers for their dedicated support in receiving 120 million VND from an account holder residing in Thanh Hoa Province.

Mr. Tran Anh Kiet (born in 2002, residing in Xom Lo Hamlet, Ben Cau Commune, Tay Ninh Province), was moved: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers of Ben Cau Commune Police. Thanks to the dedicated and professional support of the officers and soldiers, I have received the mistakenly transferred money. Thanks to this help, my family and I have been able to resolve our financial difficulties…”.

In mid-May 2025, Mr. Kiet mistakenly transferred 120,000,000 VND to account number 07310008991XX but did not know how to contact the account owner to receive the money. On August 25, Mr. Kiet went to Ben Cau Commune Police to report the incident. Ben Cau Commune Police urgently coordinated with Vietcombank and the local police where the recipient was living. Thereby, it was determined that the account owner was named Nguyen Thin Tung, residing in Dong Yen, Dong Son, Thanh Hoa province (before the merger). After working with him, the recipient happily returned the entire amount to Mr. Kiet.
Through the above incident, Ben Cau Commune Police recommend that people need to be extremely careful and carefully check the recipient's information before making a money transfer transaction to avoid unfortunate risks.
