Female Navy officer found wallet and handed it over to the police station

This morning (July 7), the Nam Nha Trang Ward Police (Khanh Hoa) returned property worth nearly 80 million VND to a foreigner who had lost it. The handover ceremony was attended by the female soldier who picked up the property and some of her comrades.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Ha, Chief of the Nam Nha Trang Ward Police, at around 11:00 a.m. on July 4, the unit's duty officer received information from Captain Nguyen Thi Yen (born in 1982), currently working at the Naval Academy, saying that she had just picked up a brown leather wallet that someone had dropped on the street, containing many Vietnamese and USD bills and some personal documents issued by competent authorities abroad. Along with the report, Captain Nguyen Thi Yen asked the Nam Nha Trang Ward Police to find the owner of the above assets to return them.

After nearly 3 hours of urgently implementing professional measures to investigate and gather information about foreigners residing in the area, by 2:00 p.m. the same day, the Nam Nha Trang Ward Police identified the owner of the lost leather wallet as Mr. Rystaev Ilgis (born in 1994), a citizen of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

According to Mr. Rystaev, at around 10:30 am on July 4, while walking on the street in Nam Nha Trang ward, he dropped the aforementioned leather wallet. He thought he had lost it, but unexpectedly, he was happy when he received information that a female soldier had reported to the Nam Nha Trang ward police after picking up the leather wallet.

Due to being busy with work, it was not until this morning (July 7) that Mr. Rystaev Ilgis received the property back and expressed his gratitude for the kindness of Captain Nguyen Thi Yen and the active efforts of the Nam Nha Trang Ward Police to find the property owner.
