Specifically, in recent times, Ba Ria Thermal Power has promoted the improvement of quality and operational efficiency in: management, cost savings, anti-waste in purchasing materials and equipment; improving labor efficiency and improving labor productivity... In addition, the unit has focused all resources on ensuring electricity production, promoting propaganda and dissemination of thrift practices and anti-waste; applying technical measures, operational management, innovative solutions, technical improvements, information technology applications, and digital transformation achievements.

To save energy by using self-consumption electricity, the company has applied many initiatives in the operating and repairing workshops such as: using frequency converters for 306-2 control air compressors; replacing conventional lighting with LED lights; taking advantage of sunlight to optimize the operation of air conditioner motors; maximizing the efficiency of solar power systems used for offices, factories and self-consumption of generators... The result has been saving more than 1.49 million kWh.

Ba Ria Thermal Power also applies advanced technology to the maintenance and repair of generators according to RCM analysis results to help save costs and shorten progress; regularly monitor and inspect to detect early abnormalities and damage, prevent and limit equipment failures; speed up major repairs as well as periodic repairs and maintenance, while promoting the spirit of thorough savings in repair work while still ensuring safety and technical compliance.

Along with that, the company regularly reviews and synthesizes poor, degraded, and outdated inventory, purchases materials of the right quality and right demand, prioritizes the use of equivalent domestic goods, and strictly implements bidding regulations.

Effectively using all resources to achieve the “dual” goal of sustainable development, ensuring safe and economical electricity production and investing in efficient power sources, contributing to maintaining national energy security”, said a representative of Ba Ria Thermal Power.

In the first 9 months of 2023, the company's electricity production output was 167.5 million kWh, reaching 98.5% of the annual plan. The indicators of self-consumption electricity rate, availability factor and downtime rate due to incidents all met the set plan.
