Many foreign goods without secondary labels on shelves in Ha Tinh
(Baohatinh.vn) - Many goods sold in the Ha Tinh market are of foreign origin but do not have Vietnamese labels. This not only violates the law but also makes it difficult for consumers to find product information.

At a business store on Ha Huy Tap Street ( Ha Tinh City), many items such as children's toys, makeup accessories, scented wax... displayed on shelves only had words in foreign languages, without stamps or Vietnamese labels showing necessary information about the product.
Children's toy products have only foreign text on their packaging, without Vietnamese sub-labels.
The scented wax samples only have information in Thai and English without Vietnamese stamps.
Even on the shelves of a grocery store on La Son Phu Tu Street, near Nguyen Du Secondary School (Ha Tinh City), colorful candy packages only have foreign words. There is no Vietnamese label on the product packaging, making buyers confused as there is no information about the product.
The "imported" milk cartons sold at grocery stores only have Korean words and no additional labels. How many people know what nutrients this milk contains and what age group it is for?
Ms. Ngoc Anh (Van Yen ward, Ha Tinh city) shared: "Many products do not have secondary labels, making buyers almost "blind to information", only knowing how to guess how to use them. Not only sold in stores, many products such as cosmetics and functional foods sold online also do not have secondary labels and are introduced by sellers as "hand-carried goods", "domestic goods" with better quality, significantly cheaper prices than officially imported goods".
According to Clause 3, Article 7, Decree 43/2017/ND-CP on product labels, imported goods into Vietnam whose labels do not show or do not show enough mandatory content in Vietnamese must have a supplementary label showing mandatory content in Vietnamese and keep the original label of the goods. The content written in Vietnamese must correspond to the content written on the original label. In the photo: The above product label has a label showing Vietnamese according to regulations.
Consumers using products without additional labels also pose many risks such as incorrect use, allergies to product ingredients or buying counterfeit or fake products. Especially with health-related products such as cosmetics, functional foods or drugs with unknown ingredients, the consequences can be very serious. Recently, Ha Tinh authorities have inspected and discovered many violations of goods without invoices, unclear origins, and without additional labels as prescribed. However, this situation has not been thoroughly handled. Video : Many "imported" goods without Vietnamese labels are sold on the market.
