Due to the impact of storm No. 5, since last night (August 25), heavy rain has been falling in Con Cuong commune. Along with the release of floodwaters from hydroelectric reservoirs, water levels in some areas have risen and flooded into people's houses.

By 9:30 this morning, the entire Con Cuong commune had organized the evacuation of 70 households with 272 people to safe places, mainly at relatives' houses, schools, and cultural houses of blocks and villages.

Currently, about 8 hectares of summer-autumn and winter-spring rice have been flooded, and 80 trees have fallen. Some traffic works have been seriously affected, such as the landslide of Huoi Co Phi bridge, the pier of Bai Oi suspension bridge and the road surface next to the bridge have sunk; many bridges and spillways in the area have been flooded, causing some areas to be isolated. At Khe Dun bridge and block 2, water has flooded into people's houses, forcing many households to urgently evacuate their properties.
