Many book options for children on June 1st.

During the International Children's Day on June 1st and the summer of 2026, the children's book market will become vibrant with a series of new publications for children and parents.

Kim Dong Publishing House has just introduced dozens of new books across various genres. Highlights include the "Little Environmental Activist" picture book series, which helps children learn about climate change, clean energy, and environmental protection through relatable stories; the "Cultivating Emotions" series, which guides children in identifying and managing emotions through images of fun foods; and the "Small Stories Filled with Love" and "Four Seasons of Love" series, which nurture imagination, compassion, and love in children's hearts.

In the realm of children's literature, many new works such as "Legend on the High Hill ," "The Purple-Feathered Knight ," "The Secret of the Red Leaf ," and "Eyes and the Impossible Mission" open up emotionally rich adventures, helping young readers learn about courage, compassion, and the journey of growing up.

Not only for children, this summer also sees the appearance of many books aimed at parents. The National Political Publishing House introduces the "Wise Parents" series, consisting of 10 books, focusing on three main themes: survival skills for children, parenting skills, and adolescent psychology.

According to the publisher, in the context of children being exposed to technology, social media, and academic pressure at an increasingly early age, equipping them with life skills, self-protection skills, and building a healthy mental life has become more necessary than ever. Books such as "Safety Knowledge - Knowing How to Escape and Protect Yourself ," "Discipline Without Tears ," and "Wise Parents: Conquering the Adolescent Years with Your Child" are designed as "companion guides," helping parents understand their children better and children become more confident in life.

Besides launching new books, many interactive activities, reading sessions, and experiences for children were organized throughout June. From author meet-and-greets and reading culture seminars to the Vietnam-Sweden Children's Film Week, the programs all aimed to ignite a love of reading and build healthy entertainment habits for children.
