Every year, to celebrate the country's and the province's major holidays, Quang Ninh organizes a series of meaningful activities, creating a good impression for the people and tourists. In 2024, in the spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Ha Long City successfully organized the Sailboat, Parachute, and Jet Ski Festival with the theme "Overcoming the Waves of Ha Long - 2024". The festival brought satisfaction to the people and tourists with attractive performances of water and air sports, such as: Sailboat parade, artistic jet ski performance running in formation, national flag parade; paragliding performance in the air carrying the national flag... The festival is considered a unique and attractive "party" for the people and tourists. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan (a tourist from Hanoi) said: "My family's trip to Ha Long was really lucky, because it happened to be the time when the city had a festival of sailboats, parasailing, and jet skis. On the vast ocean, the jet skis, parasailing, and sailboats performed in formation, parachuting with the national flag, which really created a unique feature of the festival. My family all enjoyed it. Indeed, after the hustle and bustle of life and work, this was a very meaningful moment of relaxation for my family."

Right after the end of the Sailing, Parasailing, and Jet Ski Festival, people and tourists are looking forward to the next events during the September 2nd holiday, including the Hot Air Balloon Festival "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long", held on September 1st and 2nd with many activities: Hot air balloon flying; Hot air balloon sightseeing; Hot air balloon flower lantern night; Hot air balloons decorating the ground. The venue is 30/10 Square and Ocean Park Beach (Ha Long City). In addition, the Hot Air Balloon Festival will have a supporting activity of paragliding (Paramotor), the flight route from Bai Chay through Cua Luc Bay to 30/10 Square and vice versa...

In particular, Ha Long City will issue free tickets for people and tourists to experience flying and visiting hot air balloons. This event promises to bring visitors and people impressive experiences, interesting, new and unforgettable feelings when admiring from above the beautiful and majestic space of the city on the shore of the Heritage. This is also an opportunity to promote and boost Ha Long tourism, create attractive tourism products, concretize the project "Ha Long - Festival City", contributing to the province to realize the goal of welcoming 19 million visitors in 2024.

Included in the series of events held on the occasion of National Day September 2 is the 2024 Northeast - Quang Ninh OCOP Fair taking place from August 29 to September 3 at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace. The fair has 257 booths, divided into 4 areas to display and promote products inside and outside the Palace. Including areas of 13 districts, towns and cities of Quang Ninh province displaying agricultural products, OCOP products of the province, introducing local culture to visitors. 150 booths introduce typical agricultural products, OCOP of provinces and cities in the country, domestic and foreign economic organizations; international local enterprises having cooperative relations with Quang Ninh, such as: Hua Phan, Luang Prabang, Xay Nha Bu Ly (Laos); Guangxi, Yunnan (China); Islamic Republic of Pakistan... Celebrating the National Day September 2, the Fair stage area also arranged LED screens to show videos promoting tourist attractions of Quang Ninh province, OCOP products and exhibition spaces to promote and introduce the culture of localities in the province... This is also an opportunity to connect, introduce, promote and boost the consumption of OCOP products of Quang Ninh in particular, the provinces in the Northeast region in general; forming a "tourist destination" to serve the consumption and shopping needs of people and tourists during the National Day holiday September 2.

With its potential and advantages in terms of landscape, beautiful nature, land, people and good infrastructure conditions, in recent years, Quang Ninh has become a destination for many important domestic and international events.
