Joining in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country in anticipation of National Day on September 2nd, Quang Ninh province continues to organize many vibrant cultural, sports , and tourism activities, promising many attractive and diverse experiences for the people and tourists, both domestic and international.
Every year, to commemorate major national and provincial holidays, Quang Ninh organizes a series of meaningful activities, creating a positive impression on the people and tourists. In 2024, in the spirit of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, Ha Long City successfully organized the Sailing, Paragliding, and Jet Skiing Festival with the theme "Crossing the Waves of Ha Long - 2024". The festival provided a spectacular experience for the people and tourists with captivating performances of various water and air sports, such as: a sailing parade, artistic jet ski performances in formation, a parade of the national flag; and a paragliding demonstration carrying the national flag... The festival was likened to a unique and attractive "feast" for the people and tourists. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan (a tourist from Hanoi) said: "My family's trip to Ha Long was truly fortunate, because it coincided with the city's sailing, parasailing, and jet ski festival. On the vast ocean, the jet skis, parasailing, and sailboats performed in formations and paraded with the national flag, creating a truly unique festival atmosphere. My whole family enjoyed it. Indeed, after the hustle and bustle of life and work, this was an incredibly meaningful relaxation for my family."
Immediately following the conclusion of the Sailing, Paragliding, and Jet Skiing Festivals, locals and tourists are eagerly anticipating the next events during the September 2nd holiday, including the "Heritage City - Ha Long Colors" Hot Air Balloon Festival, held on September 1st and 2nd with many activities: Hot air balloon rides; hot air balloon tours; hot air balloon lantern night; and hot air balloon decorations on the ground. The event will take place at 30/10 Square and Ocean Park Beach (Ha Long City). In addition, the Hot Air Balloon Festival will include supplementary activities such as motorized paragliding, with a flight route from Bai Chay across Cua Luc Bay to 30/10 Square and vice versa...
In particular, Ha Long City will issue free tickets so that residents and tourists can experience flying in and sightseeing from hot air balloons. This event promises to offer tourists and locals impressive experiences, exciting and unforgettable sensations as they admire the beautiful and majestic scenery of the city on the shores of the Heritage site from above. It is also an opportunity to promote and boost tourism in Ha Long, create attractive tourism products, and concretize the "Ha Long - City of Festivals" project, contributing to the province's goal of welcoming 19 million tourists in 2024.
As part of the events organized to celebrate National Day on September 2nd, the Northeast Region OCOP Fair - Quang Ninh 2024 will take place from August 29th to September 3rd at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center. The fair features 257 booths, divided into 4 exhibition and promotion areas inside and outside the Center. These include an area for the 13 districts, towns, and cities of Quang Ninh province showcasing agricultural products and OCOP products, introducing local culture to visitors. 150 booths will introduce typical and representative agricultural and OCOP products from provinces and cities nationwide, domestic and international economic organizations; and businesses from international localities with cooperative relations with Quang Ninh, such as: Hua Phan, Luang Prabang, Xay Nha Bu Ly (Laos); Guangxi, Yunnan (China). Islamic Republic of Pakistan… To celebrate National Day on September 2nd, the fair's stage area also features LED screens displaying videos promoting Quang Ninh province's tourist attractions, OCOP products, and exhibition spaces showcasing the cultural features of various localities within the province… This is also an opportunity to connect, introduce, promote, and boost the consumption of OCOP products from Quang Ninh in particular and the provinces in the Northeast region in general; forming a "tourist destination" to serve the consumption and shopping needs of people and tourists during the National Day holiday on September 2nd.
With its potential and advantages in terms of beautiful landscapes, natural beauty, land, people, and good infrastructure, Quang Ninh has become a destination for many important national and international events in recent years. Continuously developing its strengths, the province continues to diversify its cultural, sports, and tourism activities, attracting tourists to Quang Ninh in all seasons of the year.
