“Dam Rong at 20” is the first photo contest organized to promote the beautiful image of the land and people of Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province to domestic and international friends. At the same time, select a photo collection for the exhibition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Dam Rong district (December 30, 2004 - December 30, 2024).
After 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the Contest received 675 works from 68 authors inside and outside the province. After 5 rounds of objective and fair judging, the Jury selected 70 works for exhibition, including 11 best works to award prizes.
Specifically: There is no First Prize, 2 Second Prizes are the works Macadamia Dam Rong - Tran Duy Tinh (Binh Duong) and Weaving the Golden Seasons - Tien Hoang - Hong Tham (Dam Rong - Da Lat). 3 Third Prizes: Small Corner of Phi Lieng Waterfall - Tran Quang Anh (Da Lat), Experience with Dam Rong Catfish - Pham Phuoc (Da Lat) and Advanced Class - Nguyen Van Hiep (Bao Loc). 5 Encouragement Prizes: Deployment to ensure security and order - Nong Van Son (Dam Rong), Shooting Practice - Nguyen The Phuong (Dam Rong), Panorama of Krông Nô Hydropower Plant - Nguyen Van Hiep (Bao Loc), Durian Harvest - Truong Thi Hanh (Da Lat) and Wedding Reenactment - Pham Phuoc (Da Lat). Most Favorite Public Photo Award Serving the People - Nong Van Son (Dam Rong).
According to the Jury, although the Contest was launched in a short time (only 3 months), Dam Rong is a remote area of Lam Dong province, with difficult transportation, so the number of authors and works is not much. However, the quality of the photos submitted is relatively uniform and beautiful. Overall, the photo collection reflects quite comprehensively and vividly the politics , economy, culture, society, national security, landscapes, and potential strengths of "Dam Rong at 20" which is changing every day. Affirming the serious and professional artistic work and passionate love for Dam Rong of the Central Highlands and Southeast photographers.
The new point of the Contest is that the public can enjoy and explore “Dam Rong Tourism through photos”, feel and vote for their favorite photos via the Facebook page: Dam Rong District Culture, Information & Sports Center. That is the most prominent mark, spreading strongly on social networks and the success of this first Photo Contest.
