Marie Curie and Archimedes schools have a benchmark score of 41/50, an average of 8.2 points per subject, Ta Quang Buu and Nguyen Binh Khiem have 38-39 points.
Hanoi has more than 90 private high schools. All of them recruit students based on their academic records, of which 34 schools also consider the 10th grade entrance exam scores organized by the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training. The admission scores of most schools are calculated according to the formula announced by the Department, which is the sum of three exam subjects with Math and Literature multiplied by two, with a maximum of 50.
Ta Quang Buu Secondary and High School yesterday announced that the benchmark score for the 10th grade exam is 38.5, the same as last year. Candidates who submitted their applications from April 20 to June 20 will receive an additional point. Those who are accepted will enroll from 8am on July 5 until the quota is met.
Tuition for the 10th grade next year ranges from 3.9 to 12 million VND per month. Of which, the standard program is the least expensive, the high-quality English program is 5.9 million VND, the Math-IT program is 6.5 million VND, and the Bilingual program is the most expensive.
On the same day, Marie Curie High School announced that the benchmark score for grade 10 is 41 for My Dinh campus and 38 for Van Phu campus. This is the first benchmark score, and successful candidates will enroll on July 5-6. If there are still vacancies, the school will take additional students, expected on July 7, with lower benchmark scores, 40 and 36, respectively.
Nguyen Binh Khiem - Cau Giay Education System said it will directly admit candidates who score 39 points or higher into Math, English and Bilingual classes. The school will hold admission on July 3, with a total tuition fee of 6 million VND per month.
Students who score 43 points or more and enroll in Nguyen Binh Khiem School will be considered for a scholarship worth 58.5 million VND for three years, equivalent to 30% of tuition fees. Students who score 45 points or more will be considered for 97.5 million VND (50% of tuition fees), while students who score 47 points or more will be exempted from tuition fees, totaling 195 million VND.
Not applying the Department's admission score calculation formula, Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School calculates the admission score as the total score of three subjects: Math, Literature and English, no subject is multiplied by the same priority score coefficient (0.5-1.5).
Luong The Vinh School accepts scores of 25.5 and above, applicable to both Cau Giay and Tan Trieu campuses, with enrollment starting on July 3. These two campuses enroll 315 and 250 students, respectively. The total enrollment fee is 16.5 million VND, of which 4.5 million VND is the first month's tuition.
Archimedes Dong Anh Primary, Secondary and High School also applies its own formula for calculating admission scores. Specifically, the school's admission score is the sum of three subjects, of which Math and English are doubled. This year's admission score is 41/50 with 60 targets. The school organizes admission from July 2 until the number of candidates is full.

In addition to private schools, some autonomous public schools also finalized their admission scores yesterday.
The Experimental Elementary, Middle and High School of Educational Sciences has a benchmark score of 41, applicable to candidates who have registered for admission since June 15. Today, the school organizes admission and may call for additional students if there is a shortage of quotas.
Also with a benchmark score of 41, Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da said it will accept applications from 7:30 a.m. on July 4 until the quota is full. In case it cannot recruit enough students, the school will lower the benchmark score.
If the student achieves an average score of 9 points per subject in the 10th grade entrance exam and has the highest admission score among the candidates applying to the school, he/she will receive a scholarship of 50 million VND. At the average scores of 8.8 and 8.5 points per subject, the scholarship is 25 and 12.5 million VND.
The school's estimated tuition is 58-59.8 million VND per year, depending on whether the first foreign language class is English or a class of both English and Japanese.
The entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools in Hanoi took place on June 10-12 with more than 104,000 candidates. Of these, about 72,000 students were admitted to public high schools.
