At 8:00 p.m., Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of Thua Thien - Hue Provincial People's Committee delivered the opening speech. In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong welcomed and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements, efforts and endeavors of the province's cultural sector, especially the Hue Monuments Conservation Center. Mr. Phuong said that the commemorative program is also an opportunity to objectively and comprehensively review and evaluate the conservation and promotion of the cultural heritage values of the ancient capital of Hue.

In addition to the achievements, there are still many difficulties that have not been overcome, there are still many typical works that have not been restored; the potential and strengths of Hue relics have not been effectively promoted... Solving the problem between conservation and development is a big challenge for Thua Thien - Hue province. Therefore, all cadres and people of the province need to continue to join hands to actively and effectively participate in the conservation and promotion of the cultural heritage values of the ancient capital of Hue.

At the program, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang praised the efforts and achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Thua Thien - Hue have achieved and are carrying out the direct responsibility of protecting, preserving and promoting the invaluable cultural assets of the nation.

Mr. Thang said that the fact that the Complex of Hue Monuments is the first cultural heritage of Vietnam to be recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, and 10 years later, the Vietnamese Royal Court Music was also recognized, has paved the way for Vietnamese cultural heritages to gradually integrate deeply into the region and the world, affirming that Vietnamese culture is an advanced culture, imbued with national identity; a country rich in culture and has the potential to strongly develop the cultural industry and services.

Hue Heritage is also a unique cultural diplomacy channel, an extremely important bridge in promoting diplomatic relations, friendly cooperation, and enhancing mutual understanding between Vietnam and international friends.
