Nhu Dinh and fashion director Nguyen Hung Phuc went to Hong Kong (China) to attend Hong Kong Kids Fashion Week . In addition to participating in the catwalk for Karl Lagerfeld, the 14-year-old model also competed in the Model World Cup within the program.
This award gathered nearly 80 child models from more than 10 countries to participate, divided into three age groups: 3-6 years old, 7-11 years old and 12-16 years old with a panel of judges from 5 countries Thailand, China, Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam. Passing three rounds of catwalk, traditional costume and interview, Nhu Dinh won the Gold prize in the 12-16 age group.
In addition to the final Gold Award, Nhu Dinh also won the Best National Costume Award with an outfit created by designer Kien Vu. Sticking to the Dragon theme of this year's event, the teen model brought a design with a strong Asian feel, combining two colors: yellow and cobalt blue, using the image of a winding dragon as the main theme. In the interview round, Nhu Dinh showed her confidence on stage in both English and Chinese.
Sharing after winning the award, Nhu Dinh said she was very happy because this was the result of many efforts in practicing catwalk and constantly improving her skills every day.
According to Nhu Dinh’s mother, the teen model has only been participating in fashion shows for about two years. Previously, Nhu Dinh was an introvert, quiet and quite shy in communication. Since practicing catwalk skills, she has become more confident and assertive.
