On February 25th, according to search data from the digital travel platform Agoda, Ha Giang is becoming a popular destination for international tourists thanks to its spectacular mountain passes and majestic natural scenery.
In the ranking of small towns (under 100,000 inhabitants) most visited by international tourists in 2024, Ha Giang ranked 4th, behind only three famous destinations: Sa Pa, Cat Ba, and Con Dao.
With its stunning winding roads and authentic Vietnamese life experiences, this region has become a top choice for international travelers. Finding suitable accommodation is always a top concern for backpackers exploring this incredibly beautiful route. Accordingly, Agoda reveals the top stopping points most frequently chosen by travelers.

The top three destinations on the list are Ha Giang, Dong Van, and Quan Ba. Notably, according to Agoda data, room searches in Quan Ba in January this year increased sharply by 72% compared to the same period last year.
Besides the increasingly popular list of destinations along the Ha Giang route, data from Agoda also shows a positive shift in the structure of international tourists visiting these locations. This year, the route received the most attention from tourists from the United States, South Korea, and Taiwan (China). Notably, the number of searches for Ha Giang from South Korean tourists saw the strongest growth, increasing by nearly 25% compared to the same period last year. In 2024, the Southeast Asian tourist market also dominated, with Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia leading the way.
