On the afternoon of June 17, at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, the book launch program "The mysterious intelligence general and the super missions" (First News and Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House) by two journalists Hoang Hai Van and Tan Tu took place.

It can be said that, due to the nature of the profession, intelligence forces are required to always keep their identities and missions secret. Therefore, there are not many books written about intelligence as well as those working in the intelligence industry in our country. A quick look shows only a few names of intelligence generals whose books have been written, such as: Major General Pham Xuan An, Colonel Nguyen Van Tau (aka Tu Cang) and until recently, Major General Dang Tran Duc (aka Ba Quoc).

He is also the character in the book "The Mysterious Intelligence General and His Super Spies" which was recently released.

The exchange program with the author, journalist Hoang Hai Van and Tan Tu of the book "The mysterious intelligence general and the super missions" left many impressions.

Sharing at the book exchange, journalist and author Hoang Hai Van said that it was not easy to lift the veil of mystery about the life of the Ba Quoc intelligence general 20 years ago. He almost had to correct it because the information published was beyond everyone's imagination.

"Through the connection of Major General Pham Xuan An, we were fortunate to meet Uncle Ba Quoc. However, when we met, he told us to let his story fall into oblivion, that there was nothing worth writing about. I asked many times, asked many people like Mr. An, Mr. Muoi Nho, but Mr. Ba Quoc shook his head. Finally, I asked Mr. Nguyen Chi Vinh, who was Mr. Ba Quoc's closest and most excellent student. Mr. Vinh took me to meet Mr. Ba Quoc, "guaranteed" our qualifications, then Mr. Ba Quoc agreed to let us write about him" - journalist Hoang Hai Van said.

The book "The mysterious intelligence general and his super missions" (First News and Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House) by two journalists Hoang Hai Van and Tan Tu.

In 2004, Thanh Nien Newspaper published a 36-part series of articles titled "The Mysterious Intelligence General and His Super-Awesome Missions" about a "gentle as a Buddha" intelligence general who was an undercover agent in the enemy's top secret service agency, who made a huge contribution to the victory of the resistance war against the US. He was Major General - Hero of the Vietnam People's Armed Forces Dang Tran Duc, his comrades called him Mr. Ba Quoc.

During more than 20 years of operating behind enemy lines, Mr. Ba Quoc was the only spy who infiltrated the highest intelligence agency of the Saigon government.

In addition to the 36 installments published in Thanh Nien Newspaper, the publication also includes a section on Mr. Ba Quoc's activities after 1975. That is the event in which Mr. Ba Quoc rescued Secretary Nguyen Van Linh and 9 special zone members of Saigon - Gia Dinh from being pursued by secret police... Through this book, readers can understand more about Mr. Ba Quoc and admire those who work in the Vietnamese intelligence sector.

Due to health reasons, journalist Tan Tu could not attend the program.
