At the age of over 60, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh lives a quiet, simple life in a house in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. In 2022, Hong Phuong moved in with artist Vu Linh to take care of her uncle.
Although he has no wife or children, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh receives love, gratitude and respect from many generations of artists for his dedication to his profession.

He also sings mainly for charity, building 11 shelters for people in difficult circumstances.
Later, due to poor health, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh rarely appeared on stage, he retreated backstage, supporting young artists.
