Among the contents and recommendations that the Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requested the authorities and sectors to prepare to resolve and respond to farmers at the 2024 Dialogue Conference, the most notable are the contents related to suspended projects, environmental pollution, compensation and site clearance with 86 hot issues.

On the morning of November 9, according to information from Dan Viet reporter, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien, directed the relevant levels and branches to prepare the contents to serve the Dialogue Conference between the Provincial Chairman and members and farmers of Quang Ngai province in 2024.

Accordingly, Quang Ngai authorities assigned responsibilities to 15 departments, branches, sectors and local authorities to prepare to resolve and respond to 86 petitions from members and farmers.
Of these, 8/86 contents that Quang Ngai members and farmers proposed at the dialogue in 2022, but have not been resolved, and 78/86 new proposals, belonging to 6 groups of issues.
Specifically, the group of environmental pollution and mineral exploitation issues (I) has 9 contents and recommendations; the group of fertilizers, pesticides, veterinary drugs, poor quality animal and poultry feed, and counterfeit goods (II) has 3 contents and recommendations; the group of land recovery, site clearance compensation, and suspended projects (III) has 15 contents and recommendations; the group of investment in building infrastructure to serve agricultural, forestry, and fishery production (IV) has 22 contents and recommendations.
Group of issues on state price management and regulation (V), has 2 contents and recommendations; group of issues on support policies for members and farmers in agricultural production (VI), has 27 contents and recommendations.
Issues that will heat up the Dialogue Conference
Among the 86 contents and recommendations mentioned above by members and farmers of Quang Ngai, related to suspended projects, compensation for site clearance, environmental pollution... are expected to "heat up" at the Dialogue Conference between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members and farmers of Quang Ngai in 2024.

For example, members and farmers in Ba To district reported that Long - Duc Bao Hydropower Company did not comply with its commitment in regulating water discharge at Long stream, resulting in 94 hectares of land of local people not being able to sow the Summer - Fall crop in 2024.
The situation of trucks carrying soil and materials for the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway running in tandem, speeding, recklessly overtaking, causing environmental pollution, especially causing many tragic accidents, has made members and farmers in Nghia Hanh district indignant.
Sand prices in the area are currently too high, affecting people's housing construction, so members and farmers in the province request the Quang Ngai government to have a mechanism to manage, operate and build reasonable sand prices.
Currently, the land is located in the planning area of Thach Bich eco- tourism area, people are restricted from exercising land rights such as building houses, dividing plots, changing land use purposes... We request the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve to ensure the rights of the people.
In Mo Duc district, members and farmers said that currently in the area, there are two key projects of the province: the North-South expressway and Dung Quat - Sa Huynh road.

However, the compensation price is low, not satisfactory compared to the market price; on the other hand, trees and crops grown on land managed by the state are not supported. It is recommended that the Provincial People's Committee consider a support mechanism to stabilize life after handing over the land to the projects.
In addition, many other pressing issues have been proposed by members and farmers in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai city and Duc Pho town, such as the need to clear waterways, build anchorage areas for boats and ships to create conditions for safe entry and exit; and the need to plan the construction of fishing ports and fishing logistics services in localities.
