Ninh Binh FC recruits "steel shield" Janclesio, supports naturalization to serve the Vietnam national team

Ninh Binh Club has just completed negotiations and reached a 3-year agreement with Brazilian center back Janclesio Almeida Santos. The team will also support the naturalization procedure for Janclesio to have Vietnamese nationality, opening up the opportunity to contribute long-term to the national team if given the opportunity. This is the decisive factor for the completion of this contract to contribute to Vietnamese football, serving the Asian qualifiers.

Brazilian centre-back Janclesio Almeida Santos will join Ninh Binh FC with a 3-year contract.

Janclesio, 1m96 tall, is a familiar name to V.League fans. He joined Becamex TP.HCM from Hong Linh Ha Tinh at the beginning of the 2023/2024 season and quickly established himself as a reliable stopper in the defense of the team from Thu Dau. In just his first season at Go Dau Stadium, Janclesio played 23 matches in the V.League, scoring 3 goals, an impressive number for a central defender. The following season, he continued to play 21 matches and scored 1 more goal. Thanks to his outstanding height, extensive experience and strong physical foundation, Janclesio has become a difficult pillar to replace, and his departure from Becamex TP.HCM is a big loss for this team.

Previously, the Brazilian central defender also played for strong clubs such as Viettel , Ha Tinh and Da Nang. With a height of nearly 2m, Janclesio is not only a "steel shield" in defense but also a dangerous option in high balls.

Ninh Binh Club representative said that they will accompany and support Janclesio in the naturalization process. If the procedure is completed, he will be eligible to wear the Vietnam National Team shirt in the near future.
