Ninh Binh to organize Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2024

The 2024 Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival is expected to take place over 4 days, from September 20 to September 23 with many exciting activities.

Implementing the annual work program, on July 2, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan 132/KH-UBND on organizing the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2024.

The festival is expected to take place from September 20 to September 23, 2024, hosted by the Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Hot Air Balloon Association; Provincial Tourism Association; Department of Culture and Sports ; Ballooning Media International Hot Air Balloon Company Limited. The series of activities taking place during the festival include:

The opening ceremony is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. on September 20, 2024 (Friday). Location: in front of the Welcome Gate at the intersection of Le Thai To Street and Trang An Street, Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City.

Hot air balloon flights will be organized to serve the people and tourists from September 21 to September 23, at Trang An Cultural Park (near Tan Thanh Ward People's Committee, Ninh Binh City) and Cuc Phuong Commune Stadium, Nho Quan District.

Hot air balloon light show combined with art performances from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from September 20 to 23. Location along Trang An Street at the intersection of Le Thai To Street and Trang An Street, Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City.

Displaying local specialties and OCOP products from different regions takes place throughout the Festival at Trang An Cultural Park with about 120 booths.

In order for the Festival to take place safely, practically, effectively and impressively, the Provincial People's Committee requires the assigned agencies, units and localities to unify, coordinate closely and flexibly, prepare carefully the conditions, create a high effect in propaganda, promotion and attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to participate and experience. At the same time, promote socialization to mobilize resources of businesses and organizations and individuals to join hands in organizing the event.

The festival aims to create new, modern, unique and distinctive tourism products, contributing to diversifying tourism products, creating attractiveness and attracting a large number of people and domestic and international tourists. Thereby promoting the image of the tourism destination brand, culture, people, potential and advantages of tourism development of the province.
