Efforts to bring the Party's Resolution into life

In recent years, Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province have focused on innovating their working methods; the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee has focused on leading and directing the organization of conferences to disseminate and propagate resolutions in person, combined with online communication to branch presidents and farmer members.

Propaganda work has many innovations, focusing on propaganda by topic and theme through branch activities, clubs, electronic information pages, fanpages, Facebook groups, Zalo; publications of Tuyen Quang Newspaper; Today's Rural Newspaper; Provincial Radio and Television Station, cultural and artistic activities.

Some major activities of the Association are broadcast live on the social networking platforms of Tuyen Quang Online Newspaper. At the same time, actively promote, mobilize, and guide the establishment of professional farmer associations/groups, cooperatives, agricultural cooperatives applying science and technology, promoting the production of commodity products linked according to the value chain.

To date, the Provincial Farmers’ Association has established over 300 professional farmer associations and groups in the fields of livestock, crop cultivation, and aquaculture. Of these, nearly 50 professional associations have participated in organizing the production of commodity products linked to the value chain and producing local OCOP products. In addition, the Association at all levels has mobilized and guided the establishment of over 100 cooperatives and cooperative groups, contributing to improving the quality and developing the collective economy in the locality.

The movement “Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably” is identified as the key to the emulation movements. Therefore, in addition to propaganda and mobilization, the Association at all levels has focused all resources to support farmers in developing production.

Thereby, every year the province has tens of thousands of member households achieving the title of excellent production and business. From 2017 to present, the whole province has over 209,170 farmer households meeting the criteria of excellent production and business farmers at all levels. In 2023 alone, the whole province has over 35,000 member households achieving the title of excellent production and business at all levels, 2 farmers were awarded the title of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer", 1 Cooperative was recognized as "Outstanding Cooperative"; 3 members were honored as "Outstanding Citizens of Tuyen Quang Province" in 2023...

Typical examples include: the model of Sang Nhung Safe Food Production and Processing Cooperative, Dong Tho Commune (Son Duong); the model of Viet Bac High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative, Doi Can Ward (Tuyen Quang City); production and processing of products from lemon trees, the pig farming model of member Be Van Huy, Phu Luu Commune (Ham Yen)...

The excellent production and business models at all levels of the Association not only promote agricultural and rural development, but also are active factors in mutual support and contribution to local development. From there, they contribute to creating an important foundation to help localities complete the targets of economic and social development, new rural construction and building a strong Association organization.

Thanks to his diligence and daring to think and act, member Tran Manh Thang, An Ninh village, Vinh Quang commune (Chiem Hoa) has successfully developed the VACR economic model. Currently, his family has 2 farms with a total area of over 23 hectares. Of which, 4 hectares are bananas, 14 hectares are grapefruit, 3 hectares are tea, 2 hectares are acacia trees and 1.5 hectares are fish ponds.

In addition, he raises more than 200 broiler chickens every year. The average revenue from the economic model is from 600 to 800 million VND/year. His family's farm creates regular jobs for 4 workers and 20 seasonal workers, with an average salary of 5 million VND/month. Not only is he good at economics, he is also a typical example of a leader in local social activities. Implementing the rural road concreting program, Mr. Thang's family donated 70 square meters of land and 1 million VND to build roads; actively contributing and supporting various funds.

In addition, the associations at all levels also well managed the buffalo and cow lending programs according to the decisions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Provincial People's Committee, rotating 203 buffalo and cows. Up to now, the total number of households benefiting from the program is 4,978.

Along with encouraging and replicating effective economic models, Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province have promoted consulting activities, created conditions for loans, provided deferred payment for fertilizers, provided scientific and technical training, connected, promoted, consumed products and converted to digital, coordinated the opening of OCOP booths...

To date, the total capital of the fund to support farmers has reached over 37 billion VND; the capital borrowed through banks is over 2,700 billion VND. From 2020 to now, the whole province has guided members to set up over 9,000 accounts to exchange and buy and sell goods, bringing 44 OCOP products to the e-commerce platform Postmart.vn...

Ms. Trieu Thi Duyen, village 5, Quy Quan commune (Yen Son) shared: Consulting activities, loan support, science and technology have helped farmers have more capital and knowledge to implement effective economic models. From there, helping farmers increase income, escape poverty sustainably.

Through these activities, we have gradually contributed to promoting commodity production, sustainable poverty reduction for farmer members, and at the same time, increasing the value of key products associated with new rural construction.
