Regarding the story of “temporarily suspending the exit of the legal representative of a tax-debt-ridden enterprise”, many VietNamNet readers expressed their hope that the tax sector would have a more effective solution for notification and warning, avoiding the situation of arriving at the airport and hearing that their exit has been delayed. For example, applying digital technology to send notifications/warnings to people who are subject to tax enforcement.

There is a proposal to set up a website to publicly list people who are temporarily suspended from leaving the country due to tax debts, along with documents from relevant agencies such as tax authorities, enforcement agencies, customs, courts, etc. so that people and businesses can easily look up information by citizen identification number or passport number, thereby promptly resolving the issue and avoiding unfortunate consequences.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi, Deputy Minister of Finance, said: “I thought that in 2024, the Finance sector would have many advantages to complete the assigned political tasks, but unexpectedly, the North recently had to endure a historic storm, many localities in the North suffered heavy material and human losses, greatly affecting the plans to implement socio-economic tasks and financial goals. The tasks of the Finance sector in the fourth quarter are still very difficult and arduous.”

According to the Ministry of Finance, up to now, state budget revenue has reached approximately 85% of the estimate, the progress of local and central budget revenue is quite even, the central budget revenue is slightly higher than the local budget.
