Four days have passed since storm No. 5 swept through Ha Tinh , but Son Loc Secondary School (Xuan Loc Commune) is still in disarray. The roofs of the 4th grade classrooms, which used to be the place to organize practical subjects, were blown off and severely damaged.

The library and the infirmary also shared the same scene of devastation after the storm.

Mr. Hoang The Anh - Principal of Son Loc Secondary School shared: "After the storm, many teachers put aside cleaning their houses to go to school, overcome the consequences, rebuild desks and chairs, dry books, and clean classrooms. However, the damage was so great that we teachers and students were worried when the new school year had just begun but the facilities were lacking and teaching equipment was seriously affected."

After the storm, many books were not intact, the school library was almost completely lost.

However, teachers still persevered and made efforts to overcome the situation and welcome students back to school soon. According to the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province, storm No. 5 damaged 156 educational facilities in the area, with an estimated loss of more than 121 billion VND. After the storm, the Department established 4 working groups to visit schools to assess the damage and direct the recovery.
