People's Artist Quoc Hung could not hide his emotion when singing with People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, whom he respects. "We are close friends, and were both awarded the title of People's Artist in 2019. But it was not until today that we had the opportunity to stand on the same stage and sing together in such a special performance," said People's Artist Quoc Hung.
Combining the voices of the North and South, the performance created a strong resonance, not only in terms of music but also in terms of the message of national harmony. The two sang backing vocals for each other, when Ta Minh Tam sang high notes, Quoc Hung harmonized in the low notes and vice versa, making the song resonate impressively. "That was a very special feeling for both me and Ta Minh Tam. In a very special space and time, when I was able to sing the opening song of the program in front of tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians. To me, the music at that time was no longer an individual song, but the common voice of millions of Vietnamese people in the sacred moment of celebrating the day of national reunification", People's Artist Quoc Hung shared.

For the male artist born in 1970, singing at important events of the country has a sacred and profound meaning. Behind the heroic melodies, he also sends a part of his personal memories, about his father who was a revolutionary soldier at the Khe Sanh front, Quang Tri . He returned with many wounds and passed away when Quoc Hung was only 13 years old.
People's Artist Quoc Hung said: "I choose to sing revolutionary songs as a way to express my love for my parents, who have silently sacrificed so that our generation can live in peace today. For me, being able to contribute my voice to important artistic events is not only an honor, but also a proud dedication to the profession."
Right after the event in Ho Chi Minh City, People's Artist Quoc Hung said he continued his journey to Da Lat to participate in the Unified Country art program organized by the People's Committee of Lam Dong province and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of this province.
People's Artist Quoc Hung talks about revolutionary music
According to People's Artist Quoc Hung, revolutionary music is not only the nation's spiritual heritage but also a genre of music closely associated with academia. "Most of the revolutionary songs composed during the years of fighting against the French and the Americans are classics, with lasting value, living on to this day," he affirmed.
As someone who has pursued a mainstream musical path since his school days, Quoc Hung has combined European classical vocal techniques with the spirit of revolutionary music. He believes that if revolutionary songs do not incorporate vocal techniques, it will be difficult to fully convey the emotions, grandeur, and vastness of the work. This is a genre of music that requires inner strength, depth, and sincere emotions.
