On April 4, Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of the Sustainable Environment Project for Coastal Cities - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Sub-project and Phu Ha New Urban Area Project.

At the Sustainable Environment Project for Coastal Cities - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Sub-project, after listening to the report on the situation and progress of the implementation by the Capacity Building and Implementation Board of ODA Water Sector Projects (the investor), the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and contractors who have overcome difficulties to promptly implement the project on schedule, and to date, the disbursement has reached 1,752/2,253 billion VND, equivalent to 78%. Thereby, it is recommended that the construction units and the investor need to have reasonable solutions to speed up the project progress to ensure completion in June 2024. Localities support the supervision work to ensure security and safety of public assets; agencies and units of VNPT Ninh Thuan Telecommunications, City Electricity. Phan Rang - Thap Cham, Ninh Thuan Water Supply Joint Stock Company supports the relocation of underground infrastructure and telecommunications equipment at locations where the bid package is facing difficulties. The People's Committee of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City and the investor agreed on a traffic control plan during the process of blocking Ngo Gia Tu Street to ensure safe construction and ensure that the construction package is completed before the project closing date; at the same time, directing localities and organizations to propagate for people to agree to hand over the site and not throw waste into canals so that the project can be implemented smoothly. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee encouraged engineers and workers of the supervising and construction units at the construction site; visited some affected households during the project implementation, hoping that the households would continue to agree so that the project can be completed and put into use soon, creating a spacious urban appearance and improving the quality of life of people in the project area.

This is a project that requires land acquisition from 84 households with a total area of 48,426m2 of urban land, but so far has received consensus on land allocation from households, and site clearance has reached 99.3%. There are 2 households that have not yet handed over the site due to land price problems. Relevant levels and sectors need to urgently implement and continue to mobilize people to soon hand over enough site for the investor to start the entire project and social housing area on April 16, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of Ninh Thuan Liberation Day. In addition, the City People's Committee and investors need to urgently hand over and arrange resettlement land so that people can soon stabilize their lives. Relevant sectors and units coordinate to support the project to be implemented smoothly and in accordance with legal regulations.
