On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), singer - Sao Mai Khanh Ly released the MV Con mai voi non song - as a stick of incense from today's generation sent to the heroes who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The MV was directed by Anh Quan and filmed at historical sites in Quang Tri such as Thach Han River, Citadel, Hien Luong Bridge - Parallel 17, Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery... The melody has a modern chamber music sound composed by People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao from the poem of poet Khanh Duong, the arrangement was performed by musician Pham Tuan Anh.
"From the very first melodies, I was drawn into the historical space. The lyrics are simple, honest and touching," Khanh Ly shared.
Although Forever with the Country has a strong chamber music style - a genre of music that requires high vocal technique, Khanh Ly affirms that the biggest pressure lies not in technique but in emotion.
"Techniques can be practiced, but emotions cannot be deceived. I want the audience, especially the young, to feel respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of our ancestors," Khanh Ly said.
When Khanh Ly and People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao broke the song, did they have any "significant" conflicts? In response to the question of VietNamNet reporter, People's Artist Pham expressed: "Khanh Ly has a powerful voice, solid technique, sings chamber music with everything just right. She sings like a storyteller through music - truthful, full of emotion but also very real. The song was recorded in one go, we had no arguments at all."
Director Anh Quan shared that the MV idea was based on the song's content: A veteran father takes his daughter back to the old battlefield from Hien Luong Bridge, Thach Han River to Truong Son Cemetery. That journey is a way to tell history with emotion, a silent gratitude of today's generation to his father in the past.
Not only is she a singer, Khanh Ly also transforms into the girl in the MV. "Khanh Ly acts very naturally," the director commented.

Present at the event, People's Artist Quang Tho, the singer's teacher, proudly said: "Thank you very much to young people like Khanh Ly for continuing the mainstream music. So that traditional values will not be lost but will live forever with the country."
Meanwhile, People's Artist Quoc Hung was moved when watching the MV: "Pham Phuong Thao is a singer, so when writing the work, the sentences are tight, the language is suitable for the music, plus Khanh Ly's voice creates emotional resonance," People's Artist Quoc Hung expressed.
