The girl's father, Mr. Wu, 42, said that the scammers contacted his daughter on April 28, promising her easy money if she completed online tasks.
"Someone approached my daughter on Telegram and asked if she was looking for a job. She agreed because she wanted to support her family," said Mr. Wu.
Then a person claiming to be Alice, an employee of the company, sent the 14-year-old girl a job link.

The student was instructed to register an account through that link and promised to earn money after making a deposit and completing tasks. Accordingly, if you deposit $100, you will receive a $10 bonus.
If the 14-year-old girl fails to complete the task or send the money on time, she will be fined and the fine will double each time.
However, the required deposit amount increased and she could not afford it. The student used money from her mother's bank account to participate in this scam.
"Although my daughter 'paid' a total of $1,122, she was told that the fines would increase from about $2,000 to over $3,000. So my daughter owes over $1,000," the mother said.
A man contacted the student on Telegram, promising to pay off the debt if she took nude photos of herself and sent them to him. The girl sent the man nude photos she had taken from the internet, then confessed everything to her mother on May 1.
The girl's mother closed her bank account and reported the incident to the police. "Luckily, she didn't send nude photos to that man. At least my daughter is okay and she should take this as a lesson," said her father.
