Minh Thu said she was surprised to be the city's valedictorian with a total score of 28.75, including 2 scores of 10 in math and English, and 8.75 in literature. In addition, Thu also took the math exam and scored 4.25.
With the above impressive achievements, Minh Thu passed the math class of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
According to Thu, the secret to achieving this achievement is to create a plan for yourself and persistently carry it out.
Each set of questions will be given a certain amount of time and Thu will do it over and over again to reduce the time as much as possible and practice continuously. Thanks to that, Thu is very confident when solving all types of questions, especially math questions because this is a subject that she especially loves.

Thu also prioritizes spending time practicing many different types of English tests to gain more experience. Thu shared: "After finishing the test, I check every word and every punctuation mark so that I don't lose points unfairly or have them deducted due to spelling mistakes."
Diligence and meticulousness are important factors that help her get 2 perfect 10s in her achievements.
As for literature, the female valedictorian said that this is not her forte. Therefore, Thu only focuses on solving problems and reading more good essays and books to enrich her vocabulary. The female student has a passion for books by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh because of the simple and familiar writing style.
Outside of class, Minh Thu is an "introvert" and rarely participates in school activities.
Thu shared that whenever she could not do her homework, her teachers always inspired, supported and encouraged her. That gave her more spirit and made her not give up in the face of difficulties. Therefore, the female student hopes to contribute to the fieldof education in the future, to follow in the footsteps of her teachers and become a solid support for every student in the future.

Thu confided that when entering an important exam, her family only told her to try her best and never put too much emphasis on her achievements. Throughout the journey, her family has always been a strong support so that she could confidently complete each exam without pressure.
Ms. Ngo Thi Yen, Thu's mother, shared that her daughter is the eldest child so she is quite well-behaved and rarely worries her parents, especially in her studies.
“I knew my child would achieve good results after days of hard studying, but being valedictorian was beyond my expectations. I was touched and very proud of Thu,” the valedictorian’s mother shared.
Along with Minh Thu, the co-valedictorian is Lu Tran Quynh Lan, a student at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School, Thu Duc City (10 points in math, 9.25 points in literature, 9.5 points in foreign language, 7 points in specialized math).
What is special is that the two valedictorians of this year's exam both chose to study in the specialized math class of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
