In 5 years, 6 team members won the Kim Dong Award, 4 outstanding ethnic children, 3 young soldiers of Dien Bien; recognized the title of "Uncle Ho's Good Children" at the union level for 220,647 children, at the commune level for 107,850 children, at the district level for 50,838 children, at the provincial level for 901 children; recognized the title of "Brave Hero of a Thousand Good Deeds" at the union level for 1,079 children, at the commune level for 279 children, at the district level for 225 children, at the provincial level for 117 children, and at the central level for 9 children.

- Sir, could you please tell us how the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement has been carried out in the past 5 years?

Mr. Tran Dang Khoa: In the period of 2020-2025, the Provincial Youth Union Council always pays close attention to and closely directs activities from the district to the grassroots level, ensuring that they are suitable to the actual situation of the locality and unit. Accordingly, resolutely direct the implementation of emulation activities to welcome the Youth Union congresses at all levels, resolutions of the Youth Union congresses at all levels; innovate methods of implementing movements and playgrounds for children. Strengthen activities to care for and support children in difficult circumstances, children in special circumstances, remote areas, ethnic minority children such as: The Campaign "For Beloved Younger Children", the Program "Connecting Loving Arms", "3 Connections", "Connecting to School", "Helping Children Go to School" ... in accordance with the actual situation in the locality.

In addition, in order to create conditions for children to complete their learning tasks well, right from the beginning of the school year, the Provincial Youth Union Council has directed the teams to regularly maintain and improve the movements and models of learning competition in many forms, creating excitement for children when participating in learning competition in the team. As a result, 100% of the teams regularly maintain and improve the effectiveness of movements, models, and activities of good learning competition and replicate them in many forms such as competitions and playgrounds: Golden Bell, beautiful handwriting, drawing, filming video clips to participate in knowledge playgrounds... Through this, the aim is to promote the learning movement among children and adolescents, create a playground to help them be creative and promote the role of self-study, self-cultivation, self-training of each team member and child; help them practice their awareness and learning style so that they are more self-conscious after each class hour.

100% of the teams organized creative experiential activities for children such as organizing trips,educational and experiential activities for children such as planting marigolds, visiting shrimp cracker production facilities; experiencing being a game master, a janitor, a teacher, a farmer; making traditional cakes; returning to the source to listen to traditional stories at the memorial site, the memorial stele house; taking care of trees in the school campus, taking care of guppies; creative experiential recess activities, experiential school gardens, singing and dancing in the school yard, folk games... attracting 401,299 children to participate.

Fun and experiential activities are organized regularly and effectively by the School Union.

- Sir, after close and strict instructions, how effective have the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement been?

Mr. Tran Dang Khoa: The whole province currently has 100 commune, ward and town team councils, 331 school teams, 3,482 team branches, a total of 4,526 non-team members, a total of 50,392 children, and a total of 101,550 team members.

With the attention and support of the local Party Committee and government, the school leaders have created favorable conditions for the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement in the whole province to be implemented effectively. Over 347,659 young Pioneers and children participated in propaganda and education activities about the history and revolutionary traditions of the nation, the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State; 45,842 children participated in the Tran Quoc Toan movement; 2,348 children participated in preserving and promoting traditional local art forms through participating in the Red Flamboyant Singing Contest, Red Flamboyant Talent, Young Talents... and donated 1 billion 044 million VND to the people in the North affected by storm Yagi .

The movement to support people affected by natural disasters and help students in difficult circumstances was also carried out by schools and received enthusiastic participation from team members and students.

There were 401,299 children participating in creative experience activities, steam, experiencing a day as a farmer, growing flowers, producing shrimp chips... 270,525 children participating in the movement "Read and follow the Doi newspaper".

More than 5 billion 061 million VND supported 7 thousand children under the programs "Helping children go to school" and "Connecting to school". In particular, during the Covid-19 epidemic, the Youth Union and Teams at all levels organized the program "Learning online with children", supported more than 980 disadvantaged students with online learning equipment, established 177 "Green IT" teams to repair and update equipment and software, with a total value of more than 1.2 billion VND. Well implemented environmental protection activities through implementing the creative playground "Good deeds around me", exchanging books and plastic bottles for trees, recycled playgrounds, recycled fashion, attracting a large number of children to participate.

Typically, the "Small Plan" movement raised 4 billion 355 million VND, supported 4,185 children, and built 673 youth projects. Thereby, the title "Small Plan Champion" was recognized at the team level for 1,627 children, at the commune level for 375 children, at the district level for 208 children, and at the provincial level for 48 children.

Regarding children's work in residential areas, in 5 years, 42 new points were built and 11 points of activities and entertainment for children were repaired, with a total value of 1 billion 126 million VND; 58 red scarf houses were started, each worth 40-100 million VND, with a total value of 2 billion 755 million VND; 2 mobile swimming pools were built worth 200 million VND; 10 "Safety for Children" youth projects were carried out.

In addition, periodically coordinate with relevant sectors to organize Action Month for Children and summer activities, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year activities... As a result, free haircuts, folk games, zero-dong booths, free swimming lessons, red scarf houses, children's playgrounds, gifts, scholarships for 177,175 children, with a total value of 15 billion 221 million VND...

- To promote the achievements, how will the Provincial Council of the Young Pioneers continue to carry out the work of the Young Pioneers and the youth movement in the coming time, sir?

Mr. Tran Dang Khoa: In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union Council will focus on organizing activities and creating an environment for children to practice the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho. Educating historical traditions, love for the homeland, ethics and lifestyle for children in and out of school; launching and organizing emulation campaigns according to themes; implementing the "Training Team Members" Program to 100% of the teams; praising children with outstanding achievements; continuing to implement effective models of child care, education and protection.

Raising awareness among cadres, union members, youth and the community about the work of protecting, caring for and educating children and adolescents; innovating the content and methods of operation; improving the quality of the organization and staff performing the tasks of protecting, caring for and educating children and adolescents. Continuing to implement solutions to improve the quality of children's work, training programs for team members, building the Team organization in schools and children's activities in residential areas.

Implement well the construction of models and activities for older team members (grades 8 and 9) with life skills education activities, sex education for adolescents. Focus on and enhance activities to raise awareness of older team members about the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union through Union sympathy classes, improve the quality of team members to create a reliable reserve source for the Union. Promote the role of the team of cadres in charge of children in the work of protecting, caring for and educating children such as: preventing accidents, injuries, child abuse...
