Regarding the lawsuit against singer Dam Vinh Hung, Mr. Gerard Williams sued 3 YouTubers DP, TTĐ. and NT for defamation, demanding compensation in an amount decided by the court.
At noon on January 2 (Vietnam time), Mr. Dung Taylor - singer Thu Phuong's husband livestreamed on Dung Taylor TV channel to share information in the lawsuit filed by Mr. Gerard Williams - singer Bich Tuyen's husband. Specifically, Mr. Gerard Williams sued a number of YouTubers for defamation and slander.
Mr. Dung Taylor is a show producer and freelance media worker in the US. Gerard Williams officially provided him with information to release to the public. He said that singer Dam Vinh Hung has never provided him with any information. According to Mr. Dung Taylor, the information he provided to the public was all official documents from the court.
Mr. Gerard Williams sued 3 YouTubers related to the Dam Vinh Hung case for defamation, demanding compensation for damages.
According to a document provided by the court, Mr. Gerard Williams' lawyer sent it to a court in Harris County, Houston, Texas (USA). In this lawsuit, the defendants include D.P., TTĐ. and NT.
The content of the lawsuit stated that Mr. Gerard Williams requested DP, TTĐ. and NT to compensate for damages caused by causing loss of reputation and slander with an amount within the jurisdiction of the court to decide.
In addition, Mr. Gerard Williams also requests punitive damages against each of the above defendants independently.
Mr. Gerard Williams' attorney asked the court in Harris County to hear the case because one of the three defendants resides in Harris County. It is known that the "campaign" of defamation took place in Harris County, where more than 250,000 Vietnamese people live.

According to the complaint, from December 11 to 13, 2024, the defendant staged a "smear campaign" lasting from 2 to 2.5 hours each time.
The livestream content took place on DP's YouTube channel. This campaign involved DP, TTĐ. and NT targeting Mr. Gerard Williams in the lawsuit between him and Dam Vinh Hung.
The statements in the livestream were directed at third parties (audiences) with false information, not protected by judicial privilege, causing damage to Mr. Gerard Williams.
The "smear campaign" against Mr. Gerard Williams and his wife began in December 2024. On December 13, DP encouraged and incited a person to wear a sign or organize a protest outside the company where Mr. Gerard Williams worked. This protest was said to demand justice for singer Dam Vinh Hung.
The lawsuit also stated that DP encouraged viewers to broadcast live slander against Mr. Gerard Williams for sending his wife, Ms. Bich Tuyen, to Vietnam to manipulate the media when meeting with reputable press agencies with the aim of defaming Dam Vinh Hung.
Mr. Gerard Williams asserts that the above information is baseless and slanderous, the accusation is false. Through this lawsuit, Mr. Gerard Williams and his wife request DP, TTĐ. and NT to stop all activities related to the defamation "campaign".
He is seeking damages for loss of reputation; damages for defamation; retraction and correction of false information; and an apology and admission that the allegations were false.
Singer Bich Tuyen's personal Facebook page is currently being hacked, so the female singer has to temporarily use her daughter's personal page.
The female singer also said that before her Facebook was hacked, she received threats regarding her family's safety.
Singer Bich Tuyen told Dung Taylor that she was not afraid of this and would take more decisive action in the future. Mr. Dung Taylor stated that singer Bich Tuyen knew who hacked her Facebook.
The lawsuit between singer Dam Vinh Hung and Mr. Gerard Williams caused a stir.
On February 19, while attending a party at Gerard Williams’ mansion, singer Dam Vinh Hung was hit in the foot by debris from a concrete fountain when he attempted to sit on it. The fountain was used as a stage and an outdoor drink stand but was broken during the event.
After that, Dam Vinh Hung asked Mr. Gerard Richard Williams (51 years old) - singer Bich Tuyen's husband to compensate an amount of about 15 million USD, causing a stir in public opinion. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff Hung Huynh (known by his stage name as singer Dam Vinh Hung) accused Mr. Gerard Richard Williams of failing to ensure the safety of guests at a party held at a mansion in Newport Coast (California, USA) in February 2024.

Next, singer Bich Tuyen said that she and her husband are currently not compromising on the amount of compensation that Dam Vinh Hung is demanding, which is 15 million USD. "Regarding Dam Vinh Hung's lawsuit of 15 million USD, my husband has done nothing wrong to demand such a large amount of compensation. We will go to court, and will not negotiate or compromise with Dam Vinh Hung."
However, on December 4, Dam Vinh Hung officially announced that he had withdrawn the lawsuit and would not re-file the lawsuit. He wanted both himself and billionaire Gerard William to apologize to each other as well as to the audience. The male singer only apologized in general, without directly mentioning the female singer Bich Tuyen and her husband. Dam Vinh Hung also admitted that he had "made incorrect decisions that were completely contrary to his true self".
After that, billionaire Gerard Williams demanded that singer Dam Vinh Hung apologize to him and his family, including his parents-in-law and children, along with compensation of 1 USD by January 2, 2025, otherwise he would sue Dam Vinh Hung.
On the morning of December 18 (Vietnam time), Mr. Dung Taylor said that the California Supreme Court (USA) rejected singer Dam Vinh Hung's request to withdraw the lawsuit, the lawsuit was restored and started again.
