Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc is Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The Politburo approved Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, 53 years old, as Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, after nearly two years of being transferred to the city.

The Politburo 's approval decision was handed over by Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Head of the Organization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, on the afternoon of September 26.

Mr. Loc is from Kien Giang province, has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a bachelor's degree in Political Science, and has held the following positions: Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, term VI (2010-2015); Member of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children of the 13th National Assembly; Standing Member of the Committee on Social Affairs of the 14th National Assembly...

On December 31, 2021, he was assigned by the Secretariat to join the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. A week later, he was appointed Head of the Party Committee's Organization Committee. Before being assigned to the Central Committee, he worked for many years in the Youth Union in Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has Secretary Nguyen Van Nen and 4 Deputy Secretaries including: Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the City People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Chairwoman of the City People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai and Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc.

Previously, on May 27, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, 47 years old, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was assigned by the Politburo to be Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
