Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued Decision 01 on assigning the work of the Chairman, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and members of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

In which, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - was assigned as permanent Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho was born on December 1, 1968, his hometown is Dat Do town, Dat Do district, old Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, now Dat Do commune, Ho Chi Minh City. He was admitted to the Party on January 6, 1997. Mr. Tho has a bachelor's degree in economics, a bachelor's degree in law, and a senior degree in political theory.

Before working at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Tho was Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province from December 2019 to present. Mr. Tho also held positions such as Deputy Chief Inspector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, and Secretary of Xuyen Moc District Party Committee.

Direct the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in working relations with the Office of the President, the Government Office , the offices of ministries, branches, central agencies, the Office of the City Party Committee, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, and report to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on important issues.

Assign the Vice Chairman and members of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to attend activities of Central agencies, the City Party Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, agencies and units under Ho Chi Minh City.
