Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr said hearing John Lennon's "crystal clear" voice on The Beatles' recently completed final album was a profound experience, according to CNN .

"It's very emotional. We all sang it and it's a Beatles record," Paul McCartney said on October 26, adding, "I think by 2023 we'll still be working on Beatles music and we're going to release a new song that the public hasn't heard before. That's exciting."
For Ringo Starr, hearing John Lennon's voice again was "very emotional, like John was there".
John Lennon wrote and recorded the song at his New York home in the late 1970s. It was recorded by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison (died 2001) in the mid-1990s, and completed by McCartney and Starr this year.
The song, which Paul McCartney called "The Beatles' ultimate song", features original vocals recorded by John Lennon and recreated using artificial intelligence (AI).

According to information on October 26, The Beatles: Get Back documentary filmmaker - Peter Jackson - was assigned in 2021 to help revive Now and Then by applying the same AI restoration techniques used in the documentary.
By 2022, Starr and McCartney began completing the song, which featured new arrangements by both, along with Harrison's guitar recordings from the 1990s to complement Lennon's vocals.
Backing vocals from four Beatles songs including Here , There And Everywhere , Eleanor Rigby and Because are mixed into this final track. Now and Then will be released worldwide on November 2.
