Access to clean water is one of the most essential needs in life, especially for people in remote, mountainous areas. Towards the poor, especially those affected by recent storms and floods, Petrolimex has donated 1,100 ECOZEN-25 water filters for free and coordinated with the Hung Yen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to give them to disadvantaged households that do not have access to clean water and need to use water filters. This is Petrolimex's heart to the people, helping people to partly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
Ceramic core water filters help remove bacteria and impurities to create clean water that meets the quality standards of the Ministry of Health . The device is compact, easy to install and does not use electricity, firewood, coal, etc. Thereby, limiting greenhouse gas emissions. Filtered water can be drunk directly without boiling, making it convenient for households to use.
The water purifier donation program continues to aim to support people in accessing safe drinking water, protecting their health and preventing diseases. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the special milestone of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (1956 - 2026); affirming that it is the first Vietnamese enterprise to implement a large-scale water purifier distribution program. This is a concrete step in the Group's action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, towards the goal of carbon neutrality and Net Zero under the direction of the Government.
Within the framework of the Program, Petrolimex donated 500 million VND to the Scholarship Fund and 500 million VND to the Fund for the Poor, to encourage students and share with the poor of Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen province.
