Petrolimex jubilantly opens football tournament to celebrate 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification

On April 27, 2025, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) organized a football tournament to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The tournament brought together 04 teams from the following units: the Inspection Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security , the Central Inspection Committee and the host, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group.

Attending the opening ceremony and encouraging the athletes, there were Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Trung Kien - Member of the Inspection Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee; Major General Ta Quang Huy - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Chien - Deputy Head of the General Staff Department; Tran Quoc Binh - Head of Department of Area 3, Central Inspection Committee ; Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Director of the Project Management Board of the Ministry of Education and Training; Tran Ngoc Que - Director of the National Blood Center and Vu Van Thang - Director of the Student Support Center, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the side of Vietnam National Petroleum Group, there were Mr. Dang Tran Hieu - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group; Mr. Nguyen Sy Cuong - Deputy General Director of the Group and other comrades who are Leaders of Professional Departments and representatives of the Youth Union of the Group's agencies.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of Petrolimex Party Committee Dang Tran Hieu delivered the opening speech of the tournament.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Dang Tran Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Petrolimex Party Committee emphasized: "Football is a sport that promotes team spirit, persistent fighting spirit and fair-play. These are core values, playing a key role in the success of each individual and collective. Today's sports tournament opens up new prospects for cooperation and exchange between units, and is the basis for Petrolimex to continue organizing meaningful cultural and sports activities in the future."

The football tournament is a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the reunification of the country and to pay tribute to the glorious history of the nation. At the same time, this is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the relationship of coordination in work, tighten the solidarity and cohesion between participating units. This healthy sports playground also contributes to improving the physical and mental health of cadres, party members and union members of the units.

After exciting and dramatic matches, the Petrolimex football tournament ended in an atmosphere of solidarity and friendship, once again affirming the role of sports in building sustainable relationships and spreading good values in the community.
