Contractors are speeding up the construction progress of the National Highway 5 interchange project.

The project to build an interchange connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5 through Kim Xuyen Commune (Kim Thanh) started construction in early December 2024 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2025.

However, to put the project into operation soon, contractors are speeding up the construction progress; arranging 3 shifts, 4 teams to work continuously without days off, striving to shorten the construction time, completing the project about 1 month earlier than planned.

To date, contractors have completed about 20% of the construction value. Of which, over 60% of bored piles, nearly 50% of pier foundations, and the approach road is being built with crushed stone foundation...

The project to build the intersection of National Highway 17B with National Highway 5 to overcome the division by the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, to build a modern and convenient traffic intersection connecting the routes in Kim Xuyen commune has a total investment capital of 1,867 billion VND, of which the construction value is 793 billion VND. The project is invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.

The project has disbursed nearly 700 billion VND, reaching 37.4% of total investment capital.

The project is constructed by a consortium of 3 companies: Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company - Dat Phuong Group - Thinh Vuong TVT.
