Strive to complete the repair of the railway signaling information system by October 18.

BAC NINH - Due to the impact of storm No. 11, prolonged heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has damaged many railway signal information equipment on the Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line through Bac Ninh province. Faced with this reality, Bac Giang Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company is making efforts to fix and repair to ensure smooth signal information.

At Pho Trang station, the level crossing control cabinet, barrier motor cabinet, cable box and train detection sensors at the automatic warning level crossings at Km62+300, Km62+868, Km64+300 through Lang Giang commune were flooded with water more than 1 meter deep.

Similarly, at the level crossing area with guard, the approaching train signal at Km65+510 through Kep commune was flooded with level crossing cabinets, cable boxes, and train detection sensors. This situation also occurred at Voi Xo station through Tuan Son commune due to sudden high water level flooding the station signal information equipment.

At the headquarters of Bac Giang Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company, Bac Giang ward, there are also some damaged equipment and machinery at the Bac Giang Relay and Power Source Inspection Station.

A representative of the Bac Giang Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company said that timely restoration of damaged information equipment on the railway line will ensure smooth signals, thereby helping train drivers control speed and schedule, preventing collisions and accidents. Therefore, immediately after the water receded, the Company proactively reviewed and urgently arranged forces to fix and repair.

At flooded train stations and level crossings, the unit cut off the power grid and dismantled equipment. After the water receded, the equipment was inspected, maintained, and repaired to ensure technical standards; and damaged equipment was promptly replaced to ensure train command communication and railway traffic safety.

The unit reinstalled the monitoring system software on new equipment to ensure safety at automatic warning level crossings. It is expected that on October 18, the Company will completely restore the affected signal information equipment.
