The French team has already qualified for Euro 2024, but coach Deschamps still fielded a very strong squad in the match against Gibraltar on the evening of November 18. Les Bleus consider this an opportunity to test the squad before entering Euro 2024.

The home team opened the scoring in the third minute thanks to an own goal by Gibraltar defender Ethan Santos. A minute later, Marcus Thuram increased the score to 2-0 for the home team after an accurate pass from Clauss.

In the 16th minute, the gap continued to widen to 3-0 after Coman assisted Zaire-Emery to score. Immediately after that, Santos received a direct red card and Gibraltar was reduced to 10 men.

Coman and Giroud each scored a brace. Striker Giroud almost had a hat-trick if VAR technology had not denied a goal in the 78th minute. The final result of this match was 14-0 in favor of the reigning World Cup runners-up.

France set a new record and led Group B of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with a perfect record. Gibraltar have yet to gain a point, have failed to score a goal and have conceded 35 goals in 7 matches.

France's 14-0 win over Gibraltar was the biggest margin of victory in EURO qualifying history, surpassing the previous record of Germany's 13-0 win over San Marino in 2006. It was also the biggest win in France's history.

In Group B, the Netherlands team beat Ireland 1-0 to officially win the second ticket in the group to EURO 2024.

Norway, a team in Group A with star striker Erling Haaland and midfielder Martin Odegaard, have been officially eliminated from EURO 2024.

Meanwhile, the EURO 2024 finals have two more teams participating: Romania and Switzerland in Group I and the Netherlands in Group B.

A total of 16 teams are now in the finals, including hosts Germany. Teams that have already secured tickets include Albania, Denmark, Slovakia, Hungary, England, Austria, Turkey, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium.
