On the morning of July 17, 2025, the 27th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam News Agency Party Committee, term 2025-2030, was held at the National News Center ( Hanoi ).
175 party members representing nearly 1,040 party members from 34 party organizations attended the Congress.

Today, I, along with my comrades in the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, and leaders of a number of central departments, ministries, and agencies, are very pleased to attend the 27th Congress of the Vietnam News Agency Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. This is a political event of great significance, with the spirit of innovative thinking, strong creativity, high determination, great efforts, and successful implementation of the tasks of the national news agency, the key media agency of the Party and State in the new era.
On behalf of the Government Party Committee, I would like to send to the leaders of the Central Committee, Ministries, agencies, leaders and former leaders of Vietnam News Agency, delegates attending the Congress and all cadres, party members and employees of Vietnam News Agency my respectful greetings, warm regards and wishes for the great success of the Congress!

I highly appreciate the serious and thoughtful preparations for the Congress. The political report and documents submitted to the Congress demonstrate the spirit of innovation, collective intelligence, objective and comprehensive reflection, affirming the achievements, frankly pointing out the limitations and causes, drawing lessons, and at the same time forecasting the situation and setting out goals, tasks, policies and solutions for the 2025-2030 term, meeting the requirements of construction and development of the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency in the coming time.

In 2025, our country has many major holidays, especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Vietnam News Agency also celebrates the 80th anniversary of its founding (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025).
During the past 80 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam News Agency has made important contributions to the revolutionary cause, the struggle for independence, national reunification, innovation, construction and defense of the Fatherland .
To fulfill the mission entrusted by the Party and Uncle Ho, generations of cadres, party members and workers of Vietnam News Agency always carry within them the aspiration to contribute to the glorious revolutionary journalism career. That is a precious tradition, an endogenous strength for Vietnam News Agency to enter a new era of development.
Since the beginning of the term, in the context of many difficulties and challenges and having to carry out many tasks and tasks of historical significance, our country has still achieved outstanding and comprehensive achievements in all fields. In particular, Vietnam News Agency continues to promote its role and tradition and has made important contributions to the common achievements of the country and the 100- year career of Vietnam Revolutionary Press.
Among those common achievements, the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency has many important and outstanding contributions:
Vietnam News Agency always affirms its role and position as a state news agency; a strategic and reliable information center of the Party and State, contributing to bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws into life. Each year, Vietnam News Agency provides nearly 200,000 news articles and over 180,000 photos via the Internet service information network.
Vietnam News Agency is a channel providing valuable information and reference reports with analysis, synthesis, assessment and forecasting to effectively serve the work of planning policies, guidelines, leadership, direction and administration of the Party and State. The method of organizing information production has many innovations; the quality and depth of content have been clearly improved, the form of expression is increasingly modern and attractive, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
Vietnam News Agency plays an important role in carrying out its mission as the country's main foreign press agency, contributing to improving the effectiveness of foreign information and propaganda. Many individuals and groups of Vietnam News Agency have won high prizes at prestigious national and international press awards.
Vietnam News Agency is a pioneer in digital transformation, applying artificial intelligence and smart technology in production and operation processes, building specialized pages, topics, multimedia information products integrating news-photos-videos; developing specialized tools to serve the production and distribution of information...
Vietnam News Agency is a vanguard agency on the ideological, information and communication front, contributing to orienting public opinion, strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State; fighting and refuting the false arguments of hostile forces, and protecting territorial sovereignty.
Party building work is increasingly systematic, disciplined and substantial. Political and ideological education, cadre training, and care for workers' lives are emphasized. The work of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus in conjunction with streamlining the payroll, restructuring and improving the quality of cadres and civil servants, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of party organizations and party members is concerned, implemented resolutely and promptly in accordance with the direction of the Central Committee, directly the Government Party Committee.
On behalf of the Government Party Committee, I warmly congratulate and commend the important and very proud results that you have strived to achieve in the past term.
Dear Congress!
Our country is entering a new stage of development, implementing historic strategies and policies, requiring strong innovation in thinking, high unity of perception and determination to act. calling for, arousing national spirit, patriotism, autonomy, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, and development aspirations to successfully achieve the set major goals. Ideological work, communication and press play a very important role and key national media agencies such as the News Agency must shoulder the task of being proactive and leading.
Therefore, the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency should set out what strategic direction in the coming term to carry out its mission as a national news agency, the main media agency of the Party and State in the new era. At this Congress, you need to focus on discussing to get satisfactory answers, which are the tasks, goals, targets and solutions set out in the Resolution of the Party Congress that you will decide on.
The Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency needs to be more deeply and fully aware of its position, role, status and responsibility with a vision not only for one term, but also for a longer term, linked to the overall development strategy of Vietnam's revolutionary press, serving the Party, the State and the People.
I agree with the directions, tasks and solutions for the coming term as stated in the draft Political Report; I would like to emphasize some of the following key tasks:
First, continue to improve the quality of Party building work to be clean, strong, and comprehensive.
In particular, continue to strongly innovate the leadership method of the Party Committee. Strictly implement the principles of Party organization and activities, especially the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism; maintain Party discipline, create the foundation for building internal solidarity, unity of will and action throughout the Party.
Second, continue to affirm and enhance the position of Vietnam News Agency as a national news agency, a strategic and trusted information agency of the Party and State.
Each news, image, and data of Vietnam News Agency must truly be an accurate, objective, timely source of information, covering social life, domestic and international situations, meeting the requirements for serving the direction and administration of the Party and State and the people's need for information; playing a guiding role for press agencies and the public and being a mainstream information stream with high political and ideological orientation, contributing to not losing control of the ideological front, not allowing a media crisis to occur. Vietnam News Agency is an effective bridge between the Party, State and the People.
Third, promote digital transformation and innovate operating models in the direction of "multi-platform - multi-media - multi-language - multi-dimensional access - a common goal of serving the people".
Focus on developing digital infrastructure, big data centers, effectively exploiting artificial intelligence technology, digitizing the entire information production and distribution process. Develop a modern, flexible, efficient, cost-saving converged newsroom model, enhance rapid response capacity. Promote the integration of information types, enhance coordination between units, to improve the efficiency and spread of information products. Innovate and be creative in providing propaganda information, increase information dominance on social networking platforms, increase public access to official information, have a specific strategy on social media.
Fourthly, proactively integrate deeply into the international community, expand cooperation, affirm the position and prestige of Vietnam News Agency , and contribute to effectively implementing the Party's foreign policy and the State's foreign policy in the new situation.
Continue to improve the effectiveness of the network of permanent offices abroad in a professional and effective manner, prioritizing strategic locations and key areas in terms of economy, politics, defense, security, culture and technology. Strengthen cooperation, signing, and exchanging professional skills and information content with major news agencies and prestigious press agencies in the world; participate in international press organizations and forums, affirming the voice and role of Vietnam News Agency in the global press community.
Be more proactive in providing official, timely and comprehensive information about Vietnam to the world, especially about the Party and State's major guidelines and policies, achievements in socio-economic development, national defense and security, foreign affairs, human rights and cultural values and Vietnamese people. Strengthen multimedia information products in many languages, strongly develop foreign electronic newspapers, photo newspapers, video clips and digital platforms towards the world; Contribute to effectively refuting distorted and incorrect arguments about Vietnam, protecting national sovereignty and interests, and enhancing the country's image and position in the international arena.
Fifth, build a team of journalists of Vietnam News Agency that is truly professional, courageous, creative, humane, culturally profound, people-centered, serving and meeting the information needs and tastes of the public better and better .
Each journalist is a model of morality, steadfast in character; politically astute; competent in capacity and expertise; courageous in the face of difficulties, challenges, temptations and negativity. Training a team of reporters and editors with the ability to process information accurately, sensitively, with modern journalism skills, understanding and mastering technology. Each person working for the Vietnam News Agency is always ready to contribute, commit to their profession, and immerse themselves in reality so that each journalistic work is truly imbued with the breath of life.
Dear Congress!
Along with discussing documents, the Congress has the important task of electing the Executive Committee of the Vietnam News Agency Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and electing the Party Committee's delegation to attend the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee.
I request that delegates uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy and impartiality, uphold the principles of Party building, solidarity, and wisely select and elect comrades who are exemplary in quality and capacity, and who are the core leaders of the Party Committee.
The new Executive Committee must truly be a strong collective, continuing to promote the tradition of solidarity and unity, having strong political will, pure moral qualities, strict discipline, gathering solidarity and unity within the entire Party, closely attached to the masses and workers.
