The contest was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (NDD) on December 22.
The contest aims to widely and deeply propagate to the Party, government, people and armed forces in the area about promoting the tradition of fighting to defend the country and the image and noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". Thereby, educating patriotism, love for socialism; affirming the correctness in implementing the people's resistance policy of our Party and State.

The contest continues to affirm the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in determining the revolutionary path, building the armed forces, building the Vietnam People's Army and the people's national defense and people's war path of the Party and State. Continue to strengthen the trust and promote the responsibility of the provincial armed forces and the people in the area for the task of building a strong national defense and people's national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture, meeting the requirements of the task of building and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam in the new situation.
The contest is for journalists and collaborators of press agencies in the province; reporters of local newspapers; officers and soldiers of armed forces units in the area.
The entries include reports, notes, interviews, journalistic reports, columns, photo reports, etc. from various types of print, electronic, radio and television newspapers. The content is excellent press works, typical of information and propaganda about the armed forces; the qualities and images of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in peacetime; the task of building a national defense and security associated with the people's war posture in the new situation and published and broadcast on various types of press from January 1, 2024 to November 15, 2024.
The Organizing Committee does not accept works containing literary and artistic elements.
Each author or group of authors can submit no more than 2 works; each cameraman can submit no more than 3 works. Printed newspaper entries must be cut from newspapers, photocopied or printed on A3 or A4 paper; electronic newspapers must be printed on A4 paper, with the link and posting date clearly stated; radio and television works must have a script attached to a USB, with the duration and broadcast date clearly stated.
Photo reports must be accompanied by an original 13x18cm photo in addition to the contest copy. All entries must be certified by the press agency using the work; clearly state the full name of the author, group of authors (pen names), and the address sent to the Dong Nai Provincial Journalists Association, No. 199, 30/4 Street, Trung Dung Ward, Bien Hoa City.
