Detected 409 cases, 433 subjects committing economic crimes, corruption, and position crimes

(Baoquangngai)- In 2024, Quang Ngai police discovered 409 cases and 433 subjects committing economic , corruption, and position-related crimes. Of these, 26 cases/43 defendants were prosecuted for economic crimes and 6 cases/29 defendants were prosecuted for corruption and position-related crimes.

On the morning of January 9, the Provincial Police held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy the work in 2025. In 2024, the Provincial Police Department has completed and exceeded many work targets assigned by the Ministry of Public Security . The Provincial Police Department has advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Steering Committee, and Working Group of the province on important policies and solutions in leading and directing the work of ensuring security and order, serving well the task of local construction and development.

In carrying out professional tasks, the Provincial Police launched 6 campaigns to combat and suppress crime. Over 89% of social order crimes were investigated and solved , 1,404 subjects were arrested and prosecuted; the rate of investigating and solving very serious and especially serious cases reached nearly 91%. 100% of crime reports and denunciations were received and recommendations for prosecution and resolution reached nearly 92%.

409 cases and 433 subjects were discovered for economic, corruption and position-related crimes. Of these, 26 cases/43 defendants were prosecuted for economic crimes and 6 cases/29 defendants were prosecuted for corruption and position-related crimes. 301 cases/345 subjects were discovered for environmental crimes; 382 cases/581 subjects were discovered for drug crimes, 129 cases/269 defendants were prosecuted. 21 cases of fraud and property appropriation were discovered on cyberspace.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in 2025, many important events of the country and the province will take place; Party Congresses at all levels; many construction projects will be accelerated, attracting many workers, which will lead to many complicated factors regarding security and order, etc. Therefore, it is recommended that the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Police continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to thoroughly grasp the Party's resolutions and directives on protecting national security, security and order, and social safety, and at the same time concretize them into mechanisms and policies for effective implementation.
