Specifically, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, Lang Son Provincial Police, in coordination with the Department of Criminal Judgment Enforcement and Judicial Support, Lai Chau Provincial Police, discovered and arrested Cam Van Thuong, born in 2002, residing in Muong Than Commune, Lai Chau Province. This subject committed the crime of illegal possession of narcotics and was sentenced to 12 months in prison but escaped from serving his sentence in November 2020, after which the Criminal Judgment Enforcement Agency of Lai Chau Provincial Police issued a wanted notice.
At the same time, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency coordinated with the Immigration Management Department (Lang Son Provincial Police) and the Department of Investigation Police on Economic Crimes, Corruption and Positions (Lam Dong Provincial Police) to discover and arrest Nguyen Thi Huong, born in 1964, residing in O Mon Ward, Can Tho City. This subject was prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency, the former Dak Nong Provincial Police, now Lam Dong Provincial Police, for the crime of abusing trust to appropriate property in 2016 and then fled.
After being convicted and prosecuted, both subjects illegally left the country for China to escape, and were later arrested and returned by Chinese police.
