Previously, on November 22, the program "Communication and promotion of Quang Ngai tourism" took place to promote destinations, tourism services, business connection opportunities, and attract tourists to Quang Ngai.
The program will have the participation of more than 80 representatives of tourism management agencies, tourism associations, tourism clubs, tourism businesses across the country... This promotional program is one of the important steps to make Quang Ngai tourism an attractive destination on the Vietnam tourism map.
The delegates visited and surveyed the Memorial Site of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, learned about the life and career of the late Prime Minister - an outstanding son of Quang Ngai and an excellent student of the great President Ho Chi Minh; visited Go Co Village - a 3-star OCOP tourist destination, a place to preserve the cultural values of Champa, Sa Huynh...
On this occasion, the delegates also visited the Sa Huynh Cultural Exhibition House - where 700 valuable artifacts, images and documents are on display, an interesting place to visit and learn about the civilization that existed 2,000 - 3,000 years ago. They also visited Sa Huynh beach in Pho Thanh and Pho Chau communes, Pho Duc district - one of the most beautiful beaches in the country with white sand, clear blue water and fresh air.
Quang Ngai is a coastal province in the South Central Coast region, famous for its wild beauty and rich cultural identity. With diverse natural and cultural advantages, Quang Ngai has also begun to assert its position on the Vietnamese tourism map.
However, Quang Ngai tourism has not had many breakthroughs in recent years. Therefore, in order to effectively exploit the potential and develop tourism quickly and sustainably in the future, the province needs to assess its resources, development status, “bottlenecks” as well as specific solutions and long-term development strategies.
With a long coastline, possessing many beautiful beaches such as: My Khe, Sa Huynh, Ly Son Island - a famous island paradise with wild beauty and unique ecosystem, Quang Ngai has been listed in many tourism programs. Besides, famous landscapes such as: Thac Trang, Thien An Mountain, Tra Khuc River are also attractive tourist destinations, giving visitors an experience close to nature.
Quang Ngai is also home to many historical and cultural values, including Sa Huynh relics - one of the ancient cultures of Vietnam; Cham Pa ethnic cultural relics with Chanh Lo tower, the largest known tower in the southern region of Amaravati of the Cham kingdom, located in Quang Ngai province. Traditional festivals such as Nghinh Ong festival, Cau Ngu festival and the typical culture of coastal people have created unique features, attracting tourists to explore culture and history.
Tourism experts assess that although Quang Ngai is a locality with many advantages and potentials for tourism development, it has not yet promoted and exploited them effectively.
Currently, tourism infrastructure is still limited, tourism services and products are not diverse, tourism human resources are both lacking and weak, and especially the connection between destinations in the region is still weak, leading to difficulties in keeping tourists staying longer.
In the coming time, Quang Ngai province needs to invest in infrastructure and improve the quality of tourism services to attract visitors, investors and tourism businesses.
In particular, the province needs to improve transport infrastructure and accommodation services, which is very urgent to increase accessibility and experience for tourists; investing in expanding routes connecting major tourist destinations, developing resorts, high-class hotels, restaurants and utility services will be an important foundation to help Quang Ngai attract tourists; improving the quality of human resources is also an important factor to improve service quality.

With the above potentials and advantages, the province also needs to research, invest, develop typical tourism products and promote regional linkages; focus on developing types of sea and island tourism, eco-tourism, resort tourism, cultural-historical tourism, community tourism, agricultural and rural tourism, etc.; strengthen linkages with neighboring localities such as Quang Nam, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, etc. to form an inter-regional tourism chain with experiential tours from the land of Cham Pa culture in Binh Dinh to the sea and islands of Quang Ngai and the heritage of Hoi An - My Son in Quang Nam.
Quang Ngai is building a systematic tourism promotion strategy, focusing on unique local highlights; building the brand "Quang Ngai - Ly Son Island Paradise and Sa Huynh Cultural Heritage" to create a clear brand identity, associated with outstanding destinations and typical cultural values.
The province also needs to have policies to encourage businesses to invest in sustainable tourism projects that have a positive impact on the community and the environment, and employ local workers. Projects should prioritize exploiting available resources, preserving nature, and not affecting the local ecosystem.
