Promoting the "power of the people", realizing the aspiration for greatness

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - August 1945 entered the history of the nation as a brilliant milestone. In less than half a month, under the leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese nation rose up and took power into the hands of the people. The success of the August Revolution was not because we had superior military potential, nor because we possessed abundant material resources, but because of the great strength of the people's hearts - the great national unity bloc forged and nurtured through thousands of years of history of building and defending the country. When the people's hearts are in agreement, when the Party's will is in line with the people's hearts, all difficulties and challenges can be overcome.

Promoting the

The August Revolution is a living proof of the truth: “A hundred times easier without the people, ten thousand times harder, it can be done with the people.” When the people are united, all obstacles become small. That lesson, after 80 years, still holds true for today’s innovation, especially when the country is entering a new “revolution” – the revolution of streamlining the apparatus.

The new context requires us to transform strongly. A cumbersome, overlapping, and inefficient apparatus not only slows down the pace of development but also affects people's trust. For a country to develop quickly and sustainably, the leadership and management apparatus must operate flexibly and smoothly, minimizing intermediate levels, ensuring that each decision reaches the people and businesses at the fastest speed.

During the national liberation revolution, our Party aroused the will to be self-reliant and the desire for independence in each citizen, turning millions of hearts into a common beat. Today, in the revolution to streamline the apparatus, the task is to arouse the spirit of civic responsibility and the awareness to participate in the country's reform. This consensus does not come naturally, it is formed from listening to and respecting people's opinions, providing transparent information, and clearly explaining the benefits of streamlining the apparatus to each citizen and each community. When people understand that a streamlined apparatus will help public services be faster, procedures simpler, and social costs lower, then the people will be ready to support and accompany.

If the August Revolution brought the nation from slavery to mastery of the country, the “revolution” of streamlining the apparatus will help us move from a cumbersome administrative management to a modern, transparent, and effective national governance. But all reforms must start from the mindset of “people are the root”, with people as the center. The apparatus must be organized so that the people’s voices are heard promptly, their requests are resolved quickly, and their rights are fully guaranteed. That requires every cadre and party member to be truly close to the people, not only in words but also in actions. Cadres at all levels must understand that the power they have is given by the people, and all actions must be directed towards serving the people.

Streamlining the apparatus is not a goal in itself, but a means to achieve a strong and prosperous Vietnam. A “lean, lean, strong” apparatus that operates “efficiently, effectively, and effectively” will free up resources for development, enhance national competitiveness, and create conditions for each citizen to have the opportunity to develop their full potential. Just like in 1945, when the People rose up together not only to gain independence but also to look forward to a brighter future, today we reform the apparatus not only to reduce management costs, but to realize the aspiration of making Vietnam a developed country by 2045.

The spirit of the August Revolution – the spirit of the people, of self-reliance and the desire to rise up – will forever be the guiding light. If we creatively apply and promote that strength, we will not only succeed in streamlining the apparatus, but also bring our country forward quickly, strongly and steadily on the path to becoming a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
