Promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in self-management of security and order

In recent years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of Quang Ninh has promoted its role in mobilizing people to voluntarily and seriously comply with the law and actively participate in ensuring social order and safety. Many self-management models of security and order in residential areas have been maintained and promoted effectively, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety from the grassroots level, gradually concretizing the goal of building residential areas of "Unity, consensus, security, safety, prosperity and happiness".

Cam Dong is the central ward of Cam Pha City with a large population and many production and business establishments. However, the area has many deep and small alleys that fire trucks cannot access in case of an incident. Therefore, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated with the Ward Police to propagate and mobilize people to build and replicate self-management models in fire prevention and fighting; thereby establishing 4 public fire fighting points and 16 inter-family fire safety teams.

Mr. Tran Duy Khuong, Head of the Front Work Committee of Hai Son 1 Ward (Cam Dong Ward) said: In the spirit of proactiveness, high self-management, closely following the direction and guidance of the Fatherland Front at all levels, our front officers in the neighborhood regularly propagate, mobilize, and raise awareness of each household in fire prevention and fighting work, ensuring security and order in the area. In addition to maintaining information channels via Zalo, mobilizing people to proactively report unusual incidents to the neighborhood officers, we also effectively maintain public fire stations, mobilize each family to equip themselves with fire extinguishers; install cameras along the street to promptly detect subjects with violations of security and order. Thanks to that, up to now, there have been no incidents causing disorder and safety in the neighborhood, and people's lives are stable.

To ensure security and order at the grassroots level and in the residential community, the Fatherland Front of Cam Pha City has coordinated with the police force to establish 1,163 self-managed security and order groups, 25 models of the "All people protect national security" movement; and mobilize 113 villages and neighborhoods to install 790 security cameras to ensure security and order. All installation costs come from socialized sources, contributed by the people themselves. Up to now, Cam Pha City has mobilized the establishment of 31 public fire stations; mobilized over 90% of households to equip fire extinguishers at home and built and effectively maintained 338 models of Inter-family Fire Safety Teams with the motto "My house has a fire extinguisher, my house does not have a tiger cage"...

It can be seen that the movements and self-management models of security and order in the community, coordinated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations with units and localities, have been increasingly implemented in depth, creating a clear change in people's awareness and responsibility in preventing and combating law violations. The movement "All people protect national security" has been integrated and linked with many movements such as: "All people participate in protecting national sovereignty , territory, and border security in the new situation", "All people fight against fire"; "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"... have really created attraction, spread, and brought about effectiveness from families, villages to communes, wards, agencies, and units in ensuring security and order in the area. Not only that, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has guided and directed the fronts at all levels to proactively coordinate with the police, departments, branches and organizations at the same level to organize propaganda and mobilize people, promote the role of prestigious people among ethnic minorities and religions to participate in the fight against crime and ensure security and order in residential areas.

According to statistics from the provincial Fatherland Front, up to now, the whole province has built 4,131 groups and clusters of people self-managing security and order. Every year, more than 2/3 of communes, wards and towns are recognized as grassroots security models. From there, it arouses the strength of the entire people to participate in protecting national security, building a civilized urban lifestyle, maintaining a safe area, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality, contributing to building a residential area of "Unity, consensus, security, safety, prosperity and happiness".
