On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the market only showed green for a few minutes at the beginning of the session, then turned red for the rest of the session, even dropping more than 40 points at one point, below 1,620 points. However, bottom-fishing pressure later appeared, helping the market decline more slowly.

Closing the session, VN-Index stopped at 1,634.45 points, down 24.17 points (-1.46%); VN30-Index decreased 39.93 points (-2.15%), to 1,819.6 points.
The strong selling pressure caused red to dominate the electronic trading board. The market recorded 262 stocks decreasing in price and 72 stocks increasing in price. Large stocks were under strong pressure. In the VN30 group, only 2 stocks were green while 27 stocks were red.
Most sectors decreased. Of which, banking, real estate, securities, and raw materials all decreased by more than 1%; essential aviation trade, telecommunications services, software, and services decreased by 2.02%-3.16%.
Going against the market are professional and commercial services, media and entertainment, energy, personal and home care products, and consumer services.
The stock with the strongest impact on the market's decline in this session was VIC, taking away 3.9 points; followed by CTG (2.31 points), VHM (more than 2 points), VCB (1.94 points), VPB (1.63 points), HPG (1.49 points).
BID is the only code in the group of 10 codes with the largest capitalization currently in green, contributing more than 2 points to the VN-Index.
Liquidity increased sharply compared to the previous session. The entire floor had more than 35,700 billion VND changed hands while the previous session was 29,000 billion VND. Foreign investors sold quite strongly. This group bought nearly 3,355 billion VND and sold over 5,088 billion VND.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the total transfer value reached VND2,500 billion. At the end of the session, the HNX-Index was at 274.23 points after falling 2.01 points (-0.73%); the HNX30-Index fell 7.8 points (-1.3%), to 592.97 points.
