On March 22, JoyNews24 reported that the movie “Wonderland” is being discussed for release in June.
In response to the report, the film's distributor ACEMAKER Movieworks confirmed: “We are currently preparing to release Wonderland in June and have begun preparing marketing communications.”
“Wonderland” tells the story of people using the “Wonderland” service, which allows users to reunite with their deceased loved ones by recreating them through artificial intelligence.
The film was written and directed by Kim Tae Yong - director of the 2011 hit film "Late Autumn", who is also the husband of Chinese actress Tang Wei.
This is a project announced in 2019, quickly attracting attention when gathering famous actors. "Wonderland" finished filming before Park Bo Gum enlisted in August 2020, but until now there is a plan about the broadcast time.
Suzy and Park Bo Gum play a young couple who are unable to communicate after Park Bo Gum's character falls into a coma.
Jung Yu Mi and Choi Woo Sik will play characters who control events that take place in a simulated reality world called Wonderland.
Gong Yoo takes on the role of a man in his 40s who misses his deceased wife, played by Tang Wei.
