The film tells the colorful life of workers in a suburban boarding house, where each character has their own story of love, hurt and overcoming difficulties.

That is Xuan, a poor girl, practical, quick-witted, sometimes pragmatic but full of love for her family, trying to build a good life for her relatives, and then when she falls in love with someone who is "better" than her in many ways, she is confused and afraid.

Along with that is Bac - a man who was betrayed by his wife with "bitterness" determined to prove himself; Nam - an honest, lonely girl, always silently protecting the person she loves; or Thao - who married a rich man to change her life, but was abused and had to run away, living in a boarding house to find herself again.

Choosing this topic, screenwriter Trinh Khanh Ha said that the crew wanted to diversify the topics for the TV series. The story about the lives of workers today, with the system of factories, workshops, modern operations, workers going to work with a new mindset, has not been exploited much.

Director Bui Quoc Viet shared that the film is about 40 episodes long, with stories that are close and everyday but still not lacking in drama, fun, and warmth.

The identities and events in the film are exploited from a positive perspective, bringing messages about preserving human values in life as well as the aspirations of each person to rise up, for a valuable life, for a better tomorrow. The characters in the film are also very "real", with good - bad, right - wrong, without embellishment or intentional dramatization.

To play these “ordinary” people, the director chose suitable actors but did not stereotype them. Duy Hung plays Bac – a kind man with limited abilities, who often meddles in other people’s business. Paired with Duy Hung is Luong Thu Trang as Lan Anh, a woman who loves her husband and children but makes mistakes due to the pressures of life.

Ngoc Huyen has returned to the small screen after a long time, playing the role of Xuan - a girl who plays an important role in the turning point of the film. The young actress said that when participating in the film, approaching real workers, she saw that they were extremely hard-working. However, they were very optimistic, positive-thinking, loving and supporting each other.

Tran Quoc Anh (B Tran) plays the role of Phong - a smart, decisive technology engineer with many aspirations for change. Joining the "workers' boarding house" are also young faces such as Cu Thi Tra, Thai Duong, Duy Khanh, Mai Hue... In addition, the film has the companionship of veteran faces who always promise to bring depth to their acting, such as People's Artist Lan Huong, Meritorious Artist Nguyet Hang...
