Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee

On the afternoon of October 3, the 4th session (special session) of the People's Council of Can Tho city, term X (term 2021-2026) dismissed Mr. Tran Van Lau from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city, term 2021-2026, due to being transferred and assigned to a new task.

Also at the Session, the People's Council of Can Tho City introduced and elected Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, term 2021-2026.

With 100% of votes in favor, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, was officially elected as Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The Presidium voted to elect the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city.

With the above trust, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen expressed that, with the responsibility as the head of the City People's Committee, he appreciates and promotes the achievements, learns from the valuable experiences of previous city leaders, makes every effort, is dedicated, and constantly cultivates, trains, and strives in all aspects.

At the same time, be determined to properly and fully perform assigned duties, tasks and powers; be proactive, flexible and creative in directing, operating and implementing all tasks well.

In the immediate future, he and the city's leadership will focus on stabilizing the organization of the State administrative apparatus according to the two-level government model, ensuring smoothness, timeliness, speed and efficiency.
