On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1 and Action Month for Children 2023, on June 2, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Vietnam Children's Fund, and her delegation visited and presented gifts to children being treated at the National Children's Hospital, Hanoi .
Appreciating and congratulating the results achieved by the National Children's Hospital in recent times, which have contributed to the health care of the people, including children, the VicePresident expressed his impression that the hospital has comprehensive activities, not only improving its expertise, techniques, skills, facilities, etc., but also doing a good job in social work to support and help children in difficult circumstances who come for medical treatment.
The Vice President hoped that in the coming time, the Hospital will continue to maintain and promote patient support activities; continue to develop, worthy of being the leading unit in providing examination, treatment and care services for pediatric patients, as well as training and transferring advanced techniques in pediatrics in Vietnam today.

According to Director of the National Children's Hospital Tran Minh Dien, every day the hospital receives about 3,500 - 4,500 children for outpatient examination and nearly 2,000 children are being treated as inpatients. The hospital is the place that receives the most difficult and complicated cases in the country with a huge workload. Among them, there are many specialized surgeries such as: stem cell transplantation, kidney transplantation, liver transplantation, open heart surgery, bone marrow transplantation, neurosurgery... and many specialized interventions, resuscitation, external artificial heart-lung, kidney dialysis...
"The Hospital's Social Work Department always performs well in connecting sponsors, organizations, and units to have resources to support children in difficult circumstances; at the same time, taking care of the children's spirit with classes of hope, music , English, drawing... right at the hospital; organizing activities, art, and entertainment on holidays and Tet... Thereby, helping parents and children reduce stress during treatment at the hospital; children have the opportunity to play and entertain...", the Director of the National Children's Hospital shared.

At the same time, together with representatives of the Vietnam Children's Fund and the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, he presented gifts to disadvantaged children at the Cancer Center and the Neurology Center (National Children's Hospital).
