The population of the commune is over 10,600 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 30.4%. The commune has 11 villages, hamlets, and 7 educational and training facilities. The commune Party Committee has a total of 477 party members.
The average economic growth rate in the period 2021-2025 is 8.07%. The total production value in 2025 is estimated at 328 billion VND, an increase of 33.8% compared to 2020. Of which, industry, construction, trade and services account for a large proportion and have a high growth rate. The poverty rate is reduced to 13.47%.

In the commune, there are a number of large-scale investment projects, 17 enterprises and cooperatives are operating. The average production value of agricultural land reaches 136.2 million VND/ha. Forest economy becomes a spearhead with a total forest area of over 10 thousand hectares; forest coverage reaches 77.67%.
The total state budget revenue in the area in the 2020-2025 period is more than 154 billion VND, exceeding the Congress's target by 2.75%. Land, resource and environmental management are strengthened. The rate of solid waste collected and treated hygienically is 99%. The rate of people using clean water is 95%, hygienic water is 100%. Political security and social order and safety are stable.

Discussing here, delegates raised a difficulty and problem after the commune operated a 2-level local government. That is, the Public Administration Service Center used the original office of the one-stop department at the headquarters of the Tay Yen Tu town People's Committee (before the merger), with an area of only 48 m2, not meeting the needs of the people.
The office building built in 2010 has deteriorated, the number of offices is currently small, not enough to meet the demand. Most of the equipment serving the work has deteriorated and broken.
Some officials and civil servants are still confused with their new tasks after changing their job positions. The process of handling administrative procedures is still difficult due to the lack of synchronization of software.

Tay Yen Tu Commune requests the Provincial People's Committee to pay attention and provide financial support to renovate, repair and upgrade the office building, the Public Administration Service Center and supplement necessary equipment. At the same time, direct the Department of Finance to guide and urge the early approval of the investment policy of Thanh Son Industrial Cluster; the Department of Industry and Trade to urge investors to make detailed plans immediately after the investment policy of Thanh Son Industrial Cluster is approved. The Department of Agriculture and Environment supplements the land use plan for land recovery and resettlement.
Consider supporting investment attraction for wood processing factories for export in the area; establish sustainable forest management certificates; urge Tay Yen Tu Service Joint Stock Company to invest in phase 2 of the Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism project. Immediately implement the construction of infrastructure phase 2 and allocate capital in 2025 of at least 150 billion VND as committed.
After listening to the report and inspecting the situation, comrade Le Xuan Loi acknowledged the efforts of Tay Yen Tu commune in performing its tasks immediately after the administrative unit merger. He emphasized that in the coming time, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tay Yen Tu commune need to continue to synchronously implement solutions to promote socio-economic development in the area.
First of all, the commune needs to pay attention to investing in infrastructure, ensuring adequate equipment for staff to work. Exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality, promoting economic development associated with spiritual and ecological tourism. At the same time, creating favorable conditions to attract businesses to invest in the area, developing industry.
Based on their functions and tasks, relevant departments and branches such as the Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Home Affairs, etc., coordinate with Tay Yen Tu commune to review the planning, promptly advise on adjustments to meet the requirements of economic development in the area; strictly manage ecological forests; do a good job of managing cadres; classify records to promptly resolve administrative procedures smoothly for people, ensure social security, and create consensus in the operation of the two-level administrative apparatus.
At the same time, comrade Le Xuan Loi visited and inspected activities at Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourist area; visited and worked with Company 45 - Army Corps 19 (a unit stationed in Tay Yen Tu commune).
