From October 7 to 9, the Association at all levels carried out 5,307 working days to support people in flood prevention; mobilized 970 kg of rice, more than 700 kg of vegetables, meat, fish and necessities such as bread, dry food, eggs, milk, water, instant noodles... with a total value of more than 200 million VND; local women cooked nearly 10,000 meals for the staff serving to support displaced people and people who had to evacuate; visited and encouraged the elderly, the lonely, students and teachers in flooded localities and schools.

The Association at all levels closely followed the locality, coordinated with the authorities to evacuate people from dangerous areas, organized field kitchens and took care of vulnerable groups. At the same time, they participated in moving furniture, assets, livestock and poultry to safe areas. All activities were carried out with the spirit of "people's safety is paramount".

Specifically: Women of Da Mai ward and Tam Da commune participated in supporting people to harvest rice, transport food to safe places and reinforce and build dykes to protect people's property in the ward; women of Tu Son ward supported people in Dien Loc and Dong Nhan villages outside the dyke of Tam Giang commune with 10 million VND to cook rice to serve people in flooded areas; women of Tuan Dao commune helped 50 households at risk of flooding to move their properties to safe places, mobilized 5 households with houses located in areas at risk of landslides to move people to safe places; women of Dong Ky, Bo Ha, Tay Yen Tu communes helped clean up houses for flooded households after the water receded; women of Hop Thinh, Hoang Van, Yen Dung, Ngoc Thien, Tam Giang, Quang Trung, Bo Ha localities... had hundreds of members taking turns cooking, preparing and packaging hot meals, drinking water, necessities to supply officers and soldiers on duty and evacuated or isolated people; Women from the communes and wards of Kinh Bac, My Thai, Xuan Cam, Phuc Hoa, Tien Phong... supported thousands of working days to build dikes to prevent overflow.

Not only stopping at supporting individuals, the Women's Union at all levels has joined hands with the community to repair landslides on roads, support people to clean up and open safe passages after the storm. These practical and meaningful actions are the clearest evidence of the role and sense of responsibility of Bac Ninh women towards the community in times of trouble.
